BRECKENRIDGE, COLORADO: HGTV's upcoming home renovation series named 'Battle on the Mountain' is already on the horizon!

'Battle on the Mountain' takes us on a captivating adventure filled with fierce competition, stunning landscapes, and awe-inspiring renovations. In its debut season, three talented teams battle it out in the high-altitude battleground of Breckenridge, Colorado, for the chance to claim victory and a coveted grand prize of $50,000.

Similar to 'Battle on the Beach', this exciting show follows the journey of three teams, each made up of talented individuals, as they take on the challenge of renovating and redesigning stunning seaside homes situated a staggering 13,000 feet above sea level. 

Throughout the season, viewers will be captivated as they witness the teams navigate the inherent challenges of mountain living, including unpredictable weather conditions, steep terrains, and logistical hurdles. Each team will strive to transform these mountainside homes into luxurious masterpieces.

For the six-week HGTV series, each team will face a multitude of unforeseen challenges as they undertake various tasks. Each team will be assigned a specific area of the house to concentrate on, which includes a dining area, kitchen, main bedroom, bathroom, living room, guest suite, bonus guest room, and the exterior.

‘Battle on the Mountain’ premieres on Monday, January 22, at 9 pm ET on HGTV.

Who stars in 'Battle on the Mountain'?

Rico Leon

Rico Leon, a successful realtor and construction restoration consultant is one of the celebrity mentors on 'Battle on the Mountain'.

Leon has been working in the industry since he was in his early 20s. He began his career at a plumbing company where he established the emergency restoration division.

The home expert quickly advanced in his position and realized his talent for drafting contracts and assisting homeowners in safeguarding their interests.

Kim Myles

Another celebrity mentor who will be a part of HGTV's home renovation game show 'Battle on the Mountain' is Kim Myles.

Kim Myles is a successful designer and entrepreneur who gained recognition after winning HGTV's 'Design Star' Season 2.

The Emmy-winning executive producer had her show called 'Myles of Style' which ran for three seasons. Along with this, she has also appeared on HGTV's 'Battle of the Bling'.

 Kim Wolfe

Kim Wolfe, a designer and renovator from San Antonio, has been featured in HGTV's show 'Why The Heck Did I Buy This House?' where she helped homeowners who regretted their purchases.

Using her design expertise, the 'Battle on the Mountain' mentor transformed dull spaces and helped homeowners rediscover their love for their homes.

Chelsea DeBoer

Chelsea Houska DeBoer, one of the judges on 'Battle on the Mountain' garnered the attention of the viewers in 2011 on MTV's 'Teen Mom 2' and has since become a role model for women and young mothers worldwide.

She started dating Cole DeBoer in 2014, and they are now happily married and proud parents to Aubree, Watson, Layne, and Walker. Chelsea and Cole's love for design grew when they built their dream home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 2020, which led Chelsea to create a line of housewares called Aubree Says.

After completing their home, the pair realized they could continue their passion for building and designing by helping other couples. Their HGTV show, 'Down Home Fab', aims to inspire couples who are willing to take risks and enjoy the process of creating something special.

Egypt Sherrod, a successful real estate broker and CEO of the Egypt Sherrod Real Estate Group is one of the judges who will be seen in 'Battle on the Mountain'. 

Sherrod is also a designer, television host, author, and entrepreneur. She is most recognized for hosting the show 'Married to Real Estate'.

Sherrod's book 'Keep Calm, It’s Just Real Estate' was a best-seller in the real estate genre and received a nomination for an NAACP Image Award.

Amber and Trey Masciarelli 

Ohio couple Amber and Trey Masciarelli are one of the three teams competing in 'Battle on the Mountain'. They will be led by Kim Wolfe.

They started flipping houses during the COVID-19 pandemic after they began renovating their own home. 

In an interview with wtrf.com, Amber said, ”When we started this journey, it really was just about saving money to fix our house up. And then it was maybe we can make a career of this."

She added, "And then early on, people were commenting on our social media saying, You’re going to have your own show one day and we would just laugh. And now the fact that we’re on HGTV, that we’re going to be on a TV channel that I watched growing up is really surreal.”
