What does 'The Trust: A Game of Greed' winner receive? Contestants to vie for hefty cash prize in Netflix's reality series
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix is bringing a brand new psychological reality competition series, 'The Trust: A Game of Greed'.
The Netflix show features 11 strangers who would be vying for a huge amount of cash prize.
The contestants would be given $250,000 which they can either share evenly or win a larger portion of by voting other contestants out of the game.
The eight-part unscripted Netflix series will be hosted by former CNN news anchor, Brooke Baldwin.
The contestants would be offered the cash prize right from the start instead of competing each week to get one step closer to the reward in the three-week social experiment reality competition.
How does Netflix's 'The Trust: A Game of Greed' work?
'The Trust: A Game of Greed' brings a group of strangers together in a 'luxury villa' to compete for a cash prize.
The competition holds completely different rules from other reality series as no contestants will be eliminated in this game.
The contestants have to buy time, stay loyal to the group, and get paid at the end of the show.
As the name suggests, the contestants' fate seems to be in their own hands and they need to stay away from 'greed'.
The contestants get a chance to anonymously vote each other out of 'The Trust'.
The voted-out player's prize will be rewarded to the contestants who voted them out, increasing their share of the total prize money.
However, the game comes with a risk as the voting could create distrust among the other contestants.
The remaining players may turn against the person who voted out the contestant, especially if they are the group's favorite.
What is 'The Trust: A Game of Greed' all about?
'The Trust: A Game of Greed' is a social experiment psychological reality competition series that puts players against each other in a game of greed.
The upcoming Netflix show follows the premise of 'The Traitors', in which the contestants have to work together to eliminate the other contestants to win a grand prize.
The Peacock show was a huge success and 'RHOM' star Larsa Pippen will compete in Season 2.
Meanwhile, the official synopsis of "The Trust: A Game of Greed' reads, "Eleven strangers are given a quarter of a million dollars to split evenly. Will they take their fair share? Or will the allure of more money cause them to vote each other out to keep more for themselves?"
The competition series is an "ultimate test of human nature, as greed and mistrust threaten to destroy even the strongest of relationships. In this game, everyone starts as winners, and they can all leave as winners – if they choose to share."
'The Trust: A Game of Greed' Season 1 Episode 1 to 4 will premiere January 10 on Netflix. Fans can catch the episodes weekly for a three-week event.
