Who is Kim Myles?

Kim Myles was born in 1974 in the Bakersfield suburbs of California and has always had a talent for organizing things around the house. Initially, she hoped to have a theater career. So, after graduating from West High School, she attended the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts. She received her Associate of Arts degree there. Following that, she moved to New York City in 1990 to pursue a career as an actress. However, she quickly realized that it would be difficult for her to make a livelihood. As a result, she enrolled in cosmetology school and began working in stage makeup and hair for performers.

Kim, who was then a stylist at Insitu, a salon in Manhattan's Gramercy Park district, appeared on HGTV's 'Design Star' in 2007, since she had always enjoyed refurbishing homes on a budget. As a winning reward, she earned the chance to have her own show on the channel. That's how Kim Myles began 'Myles of Style,' which featured 12 episodes in all, in 2008. Scott Myles, her hairdresser, and graphic designer husband, also had an ice cream company called 5 Boroughs Ice Cream in 2003. The pair got the notion to start an ice cream firm after receiving an ice cream machine as a wedding gift. Her husband's flavors were popular among their friends, so they applied to open an ice cream factory and an ice cream parlor in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

Being a small company owner was difficult, and there were many factors pulling against them at the time. While their firm did not take off as planned, they were able to fall back on their previous occupations as a hairdresser and a graphic designer. It has helped them keep their lives running smoothly, and they are overjoyed.

She was in California when she was filming her own HGTV show. She had to spend a lot of time away from New York, but she was also relieved to be back in Bakersfield and near to family. Furthermore, she, on the other hand, adored New York City and missed it terribly when she wasn't there. It's her home. Kim took care of cannabis trouble in the houses featured on 'High Design' this year, thanks to her extensive understanding of marijuana and experience in home construction.

'Battle of the Bling' premieres on December 9, 2022, at 9/8c on HGTV.
