The premiere of ‘House of the Dragon’ re-introduced viewers to the House Targaryen in a different way. A lot of new major characters have been featured in the ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel as it primarily focuses on the Targaryen dynasty. However, there’s one character that made a lot of impact throughout the episode and went out with one of the most gruesome scenes in the history of television. Yes, we are talking about Queen Aemma Arryn (Sian Brooke).

During the premiere, we found that Queen Aemma was pregnant and had gone into labor. She has suffered five miscarriages in the last two years and wasn’t able to give a son to King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine). However, the king believes that she has a son in her womb because he saw a dream in which all the Dragons roared as one when he put his son on the Iron Throne. But things take a drastic turn when maesters tell Viserys that they’ll be able to save either the mother or the child. Well, what we witnessed next was undoubtedly one of the most uncomfortable scenes in TV’s history and a lot of people believed that they needed to puke after seeing it.
