Who is Crane on ‘The Masked Singer’? Season 14 finalist sparks Taylor Swift rumors with one major clue
The closer ‘The Masked Singer’ gets to its finale, the stranger the guessing game becomes. Right now, it’s not just about who sings best or who survives another round; it’s about who everyone thinks is hiding under those elaborate costumes. During the latest episode of Season 14, one contestant’s journey officially came to an end, while four others secured their place in the finale. Pangolin was voted out during the semi-finals, and once the mask came off, the voice behind the costume was revealed to be Rachel Platten.
With Pangolin stepping aside, the race to the Golden Mask Trophy now comes down to four: Cat Witch, Crane, Galaxy Girl, and Pugcasso, all of whom will compete in the finale airing on April 1. And if the semi-finals proved anything, it’s that predicting a winner right now feels almost impossible. While the competition narrowed, the conversation online exploded, and not because of the elimination, but because of Crane. The singer has suddenly become the center of one of the wildest identity theories this season, involving Taylor Swift. It all traces back to an earlier episode on March 11, titled 'Care Bears Night,' where a visual moment set off alarms in the best and most chaotic way possible.
In the visual clue, a football player in a purple uniform appeared on one knee, seemingly proposing to Crane. Just like that, the panel lit up with guesses. Ken Jeong didn’t hesitate, jumping straight to the boldest conclusion in the room, linking the clue to Travis Kelce, and then throwing out Swift’s name as his guess. However, not everyone was on the same page. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg took a different approach, pointing toward Normani, especially after the engagement imagery lined up with real-life headlines involving DK Metcalf. His proposal to Normani in 2025 gave her theory a bit more grounding, at least in her eyes.

Rita Ora seemed to agree, backing the Normani idea and referencing her history with Fifth Harmony. That also fits neatly with some of the show’s earlier clues about group beginnings and a transition into a solo career. Additional hints sprinkled throughout the season included references to the 1990s, visuals tied to sports teams, and moments suggesting strong family support. There were even nods that seemed to point toward someone with experience across music, television, and film. Crane, for her part, isn’t giving much away. With four contestants left before the finale, the mystery around who’s hiding behind each mask is only getting harder to crack.
