The aspiring singer has three younger siblings whom she raised following the death of her mother in 2017, shortly after giving birth to her youngest sibling.
After the death of her mother, Bethany's siblings were placed in foster care. Nonetheless, the ABC show contestant successfully reunited her family by bringing her siblings back from foster care in July 2019. She expressed her excitement in a social media post and wrote, "2615 days in foster care finally home ❤️ I love y’all with everything I have I couldn’t be prouder to be your sister 😭💕."
Bethany, a 25-year-old teacher from Gastonia, North Carolina, used to work in a dementia unit after graduating from high school. According to her LinkedIn, the aspiring singer studied Associate of Arts, Elementary Education and Teaching at Central Piedmont Community College.
The ABC show contestant bagged her first job as a teacher at First United Methodist Church while pursuing her graduation degree. She has also worked as an assistant, Pharmacy Technician, and lead teacher. She has a passion for teaching and providing care for children.
