‘RHOBH’ 15 reunion part 2 preview: Kyle Richards presents proof as Dorit Kemsley questions her support
Tensions are boiling over again in ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ (RHOBH), and this time, Kyle Richards is not walking into the reunion empty-handed. In a newly released preview for Season 15’s second reunion episode, she shows up ready to back her side of the story with receipts, literally pulling out her phone mid-argument. The moment kicks off with Richards clashing with Dorit Kemsley over a missed event that clearly did not sit well. Kemsley had hosted a book cover reveal, but Richards was not there. Rather than brushing it off, Richards decides to rewind the timeline. She scrolls through her phone and reads out the exact message she sent Kemsley before the event.
“OK, so I sent a text: ‘Hi, I'm so sorry that I'm not going to make it tonight. I'm exhausted and overwhelmed and [have] been up since 2 a.m.’ That was a fact,” Richards says in the clip. “‘I know we need to talk still, and I hope that happens at some time soon. I know you RSVP'd yes to the wedding, so I hope to see you there. Good luck tonight.’” Richards continues by reading Kemsley’s reply, “And you wrote, ‘I get it. No worries. Thank you for the good luck wishes. Take care of yourself. We'll talk another time. And yes, I'll see you at the wedding.’” According to Richards, that exchange is exactly why she felt blindsided later on. “You were fine with that. You understood, until, which is what bothered me, when you had that interaction with Boz,” Richards says. “Go back and look at that scene where Boz said to you, ‘Kyle should have been here.’ And then you said, ‘Absolutely!’”
Meanwhile, reunion host Andy Cohen steps in, trying to get clarity from Kemsley. He asks whether Richards may have misunderstood the tone behind that original text response. Kemsley does not hesitate to answer. “Oh, yes,” she says, before turning directly to Richards and starting to explain how she actually felt in that moment. “When you sent me that text, do you want to know how I genuinely felt? Wow, OK, you know what…” Richards cuts in before Kemsley can finish. “So you're full of sh*t then? So your text was not being genuine?” she fires back. Kemsley pushes back immediately, responding, “No, that's called being polite. What am I supposed to say? I'm not going to beg anyone to come support me. Do you understand? I was not [like], ‘Oh, I totally understand!’ I was hurt. This was a big deal for me. And not to mention…”
Before she can complete her thought, Richards jumps in again, pointing, “[In] that clip, you can see that you were about to say that. And then all of a sudden, you shift. You're like, ‘Oh, good, I get to make Kyle look like an a*shole. I love it!’” Then, the conversation veers into business support or the lack of it. Richards questions, “Why are we saying anything to try to hurt anyone's business?” Kemsley is quick to respond, “Well, you opened that door, didn't you? We should all be supporting each other's businesses.” When Cohen presses for specifics, Kemsley points to what she describes as her main professional venture in recent years: her upcoming memoir, ‘Unburdened’.
However, Richards is not convinced the criticism is fair. She begins listing various occasions she has shown up for over the years, but Kemsley narrows the focus. “I know you’d like to go back 10 years, Kyle, but I’m actually staying within this decade,” she says. Richards shoots back, “It’s called history, Dorit. It’s one f*cking thing. … You don’t have the book out. It was a picture.” Even then, Kemsley does not back down. “Don’t sit here on your soap box and say, ‘We should all be supporting…’ Listen, you opened that door,” she says. With voices overlapping and neither side ready to give an inch, this reunion episode looks set to bring one of the season’s biggest conflicts to a head. The reunion’s second part will air Thursday, April 30, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
