The latest season of WeTv premiered with a surprise wedding of Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell to her longtime partner, Eldridge Toney, which took place only one month after her cancer diagnosis and nine months before her death.
June admitted in the episode, "We were shocked she wanted a wedding so quickly, but even more surprised at who showed up." Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird's husband, Joshua Efird, officiated Chickadee and Eldridge's wedding ceremony. Joshua told Anna and Eldridge, "It is my honor to declare you husband and wife," before the couple leaned for the kiss.

However, Chickadee's sister Pumpkin fears that she is still in denial about her diagnosis. Meanwhile, fans would also expect to see Honey Boo Boo's high school graduation ceremony and the insight drama after the surprise arrival of a family member at the big event.
Honey Boo Boo decided to pursue a nursing degree but later found out that her college fees were secretly missing. Honey Boo Boo confronted her mother, June, as she was managing her bank account.
Pumpkin would also take a stand for her younger sister and battle with her mother over Honey Boo Boo's college indecision.

After the previous season wrapped up with June Shannon and Justin Stroud's wedding, 'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7 premiered with 'Wedding Vows, Caps and Gowns'.
In the episode, Chickadee had a last-minute wedding to Eldridge Toney after she started chemotherapy amid a cancer diagnosis.
The wedding brought a romantic first dance as well as a dramatic argument. However, tension heated up after June's uninvited mother Sandra surprisingly showed up to the wedding.
June was left stunned by her mother's arrival and noted in the confessional, "I don’t know why the hell she’s even here."
Meanwhile, June's daughter, Pumpkin claimed, "My God, this is so awkward." Honey Boo Boo added, "I don't want to talk to her." June revealed that the last time she saw her mother, Sandra, was at the wedding of Jennifer Thompson and Mike 'Sugar Bear' Thompson, back in 2017.
June further noted in the confessional, "None of us in the family talk to my mother but Anna," adding, "This could be very intense."
