‘Euphoria’ Season 3 finally has a release date and yes, a major wedding is officially happening
Fan-favorite show 'Euphoria' is all set to make a comeback with season 3, and we exactly know when. Created by Sam Levinson, HBO's teen drama follows the dramatic lives of teens in the fictional town of East Highland, California. With ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 slated to focus on Rue Bennett's (Zendaya) sober journey, viewers can expect a darker, more noir-inspired narrative. Not only that, but as per rumors, the latest season will also feature a wedding between two fan-favorite characters, making the wait for the release harder than expected.
HBO recently announced that 'Euphoria' Season 3 will premiere in April 2026. Following its February 2022 finale, the new season will open with a major time jump, and creator Levinson also teased fresh character updates while promising that "this is our best season yet," as per Entertainment Weekly. Levinson explained the season's big time jump by saying, "Five years felt like a natural place because if they'd gone to college, they'd be out of college at that time."
He revealed that season 3 will open with, "We basically pick up Rue [Zendaya] south of the border in Mexico, in debt to [drug dealer] Laurie [Martha Kelly], trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off." Levinson revealed that season 3 will also include a wedding for Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), who have remained a couple since high school, explaining, "Cassie is living in the suburbs with Nate; they're engaged, and she's very addicted to social media and envious of what appear to be the big lives that all of her high school classmates are living at this point in time."
He added, "I will say that Cassie and Nate do, in fact, get married. I'm confirming it. And I promise that it will be an unforgettable night." Levinson shared where the others land after the time jump, with Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer) now in art school, "very nervous about having a career as a painter, and trying to avoid responsibility at all costs." Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie) is working in Hollywood at a talent agency while juggling her own side hustles, and Lexi Howard (Maude Apatow) is an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone, whom Levinson described as "absolutely delightful and a true icon."
HBO has also unveiled the first look at 'Euphoria' Season 3, as per ScreenRant. Alongside a new poster featuring Zendaya's Rue, HBO revealed that filming wrapped in November 2025 and that the season will introduce several new cast members, including Natasha Lyonne, Eli Roth, Jessica Blair, Danielle Deadwyler, Bill Bodner, and Colleen Camp.
