‘Dancing With The Stars’ invites fans to a massive 3-day convention and here’s everything you need to know
As if the glittering dance floor and the allure of the Mirrorball trophy weren't enough on our television screens, ABC has now decided to bring out 'Dancing With The Stars' to a real-life event! According to a recent press release, the popular dance competition-based reality television show will mark its 20th year on the air with a magnificent fan convention. This would also mark the first time that the show has done something like this.
When and where is the ‘DWTS’ fan convention happening?
The 'DWTS' fan convention is scheduled to take place at the Acrisure Arena located in Palm Springs, California. The entire event will span three days, from Friday, July 31, through Sunday, August 2. The convention will give fans of the ABC show a rare opportunity to catch their favourite celebrities and pros. As per the official description, "DWTS" Con, announced Tuesday on 'Good Morning America,' will be a three-day immersive experience featuring live dance performances, panels, Q&A sessions, interactive photo opportunities, exhibits, and exclusive merchandise inspired by the hit ABC competition show, which recently marked 20 years on air."

The highly anticipated event will comprise unforgettable performances by former celebrity contestants, professional dancers, and former winners of the Mirrorball Trophy. The list of pros who will be in attendance at the convention includes Witney Carson, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Brandon Armstrong, Lindsay Arnold, Rylee Arnold, Alan Bersten, Hailey Bills, Sharna Burgess, Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, Britt Stewart, Jan Ravnik, and Gleb Savchenko.
On the other hand, fans will also be able to catch a glimpse of former Mirrorball Trophy winners Elaine Hendrix, Rashad Jennings, Amanda Kloots, Whitney Leavitt, Hannah Brown, Danielle Fishel, Xochitl Gomez, Joey Graziadei, Phaedra Parks, JoJo Siwa, Johnny Weir, Rumer Willis, Ginger Zee, and Kristi Yamaguchi. More stars are expected to join the ensemble in the coming days, and it has also been reported that Bruno Tonioli will be present at the convention.
Inside the schedule
The convention schedule kicks off on Friday with a welcome event that lets fans experience what it's like to be on the show's sets. On Saturday morning, fans will have the opportunity to attend behind-the-scenes panels featuring unscripted conversations and unheard stories, as well as Q&A sessions. The second half of the day will come alive with a special dance performance led by stars from the show and pros, under the direction of Mandy Moore. Sunday is the final day with a matinee performance, more panels, a mock competition, and a farewell to close the night.

Tickets for the conference are available both in presales and subsequent general sales. The Verizon presale starts Thursday, February 12, at 10 a.m. PT and lasts till Friday, February 13, at 10 p.m. PT. The tickets can be purchased via the My Verizon app. Furthermore, Mirrorball members are eligible for an exclusive presale beginning on Thursday, February 12, at 12 p.m. PT.
