The first full trailer of 'Virgin River' Season 7 brings plenty of questions. The hit Netflix drama's sixth season ended with major storylines that the new instalment would explore. Drom Brie (Zibby Allen) is yet to decide if she wants to tie the knot to Mike (Marco Grazzini), while Brady (Ben Hollingsworth) contemplates getting his finances sorted with Lark (Elise Gatien), and that's just the start.

The major storyline this season is expected to be Brie and Brady. While the latter says he and Brie are just friends at Jack's (Martin Henderson) bar, there have been strong speculations that the two will not get back together any time soon. To add, throw in Brady's money matters with Lark, and Brie's decision about Mike, and there are enough promises and laughter and tears in copious doses in Season 7, while also setting the tone for an already-confirmed Season 8.

One scene in the trailer suggests the newlyweds have agreed to a major, life-altering decision. At the time of writing, all signs point to the pair having their own share of troubles with the surrogacy plotline. "It’s not our baby. Not yet," Mel stresses at one point in the trailer, even as Rachel Drance's Marley decides whether to give the baby up for adoption at one point in the new footage.

The remaining parts of the teaser show Doc (Tim Matheson) and Hope (Annette O'Toole) reigniting their romance, while Preacher (John Middleton) and Kaia's (Kandyce McClure) growing bond gets some screentime as well. The new clip sees Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson) offered a chance to have her surrogate carry the baby. The official logline of the new season reads, "Newly married, Mel and Jack pursue their dream of adopting a baby, while old loves smolder and new threats challenge Virgin River."

A major plot that the new season has to shed light on Charmaine's (Lauren Hammersley) disappearance before the wedding in Season 6. Last we saw, Jack attempts to check in on her, only to find the door broken. He is shown staring into the nursery, with a shocked look on his face.

Breckenridge and Henderson return as Mel and Jack. The returning cast includes Tim Matheson, Annette O’ Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Kai Bradbury, and Kandyse McClure. Meanwhile, new faces this season include Sara Canning, Cody Kearsley, and Austin Nichols. The series is developed by Sue Tenney, based on Robyn Carr’s novels of the same name.

Ahead of the new season, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith told Tudum that it was just the beginning for most characters. "There’s a lot more to go here with these characters. I think we’ve only just begun to see Mel and Jack function as a married couple, which is exciting. Season 7 will 'explore the honeymoon phase for them as they’re building their lives on the farm, which can come with its own obstacles.' 'Virgin River' Season 7 premieres on March 12, 2026, on Netflix.
