LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 21 bids adieu to Hollywood Week. After the outstanding duet challenge in Hollywood Week Part 2, the aspiring singers will set foot into the Showstopper round. The ABC network competition viewers have been treated with some fierce drama during the previous round as Sara Beth shockingly dropped out of the competition.

The golden ticket winners serenaded the judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, throughout Hollywood Week. While many contestants impressed the judges and advanced to the Showstopper round, others headed home. The upcoming round is also packed full of entertainment and good ol' fashioned competition. What to expect from 'American Idol' Season 21 Episode 9?

Aspiring singers delivered powerful performances during the 'American Idol' 2023 Hollywood week. However, in the upcoming episode, the competition is going to be tough and the singers will have to deliver incredible performances to impress the judges and keep moving forward in the competition to make it to the Top 24. The top 55 singers perform during a Showstopper Round live in front of an audience and the judges at the Los Angeles Theater for a spot in the Top 24.

All 55 contestants will get just one last chance to prove their skill with a show-stopping performance. Notably, moving directly from 55 down to 24 is huge and the aspiring singers have to prepare accordingly.

Who all advanced to 'Showstopper' round?

Nutsa: Nutsa garnered praise for her performance on 'I Surrender' by Celine Dion.

Colin Stough: Colin performed 'Stone' by Whiskey Myers. The aspiring singer is an 18-year-old resident of Gattman, Mississippi. Colin lives with his mother and stepfather after his biological father abandoned him for drugs and alcohol.

Marybeth Bryd - Marybeth stunned 'American Idol' 2023 judges with her soulful performance on 'Something In The Orange' by Zach Bryan.

We Ani - We received a standing ovation for her performance on 'Good For' (original).

Haven Madison: Haven performed her original song 'I Still Need You.' The aspiring singer is a high school student from Clarksville, Tennessee, and has grown up on a tour bus, traveling to multiple destinations since she was two. 

Fire Wilmore: Fire, who got a second chance during the auditions, performed 'You Say' by Lauren Daigle.

Lucy Love: Lucy, a single mother of two, stunned judges with her performance on 'Make You Feel My Love' by Adele.

Iam Tongi: Iam performed 'I Can’t Make You Love Me' by Bonnie Raitt. The aspiring singer resides in Seattle whose father Rodney passed away just months before this audition.

Zachariah Smith - Zachariah, who works at the family-owned restaurant, impressed judges with 'Cold As Ice' By Foreigner.

Hannah Nicolaisen: Hannah serenades the judges with her powerful original song, 'Going Through The Motions'.

Olivia Soli: Olivia performed 'How Will I Know' by Whitney Houston.

Kya Monee: Kya opted to work on her confidence with a powerhouse song, 'And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.'

Paige Anne: - Paige worked over her confidence and delivered an excellent performance on 'Pull You Through' by Maggie Rose

Matt Wilson: Matt delivered a soulful performance on 'Can You Stand the Rain' by New Edition.

Oliver Steele: Oliver advanced to the next round with his powerhouse vocals as he performed 'Broken Halos' by Chris Stapleton.

Mariah Faith: Mariah worked on her stage performance and channeled her emotions through 'I Hope You're Happy Now' by Carly Pearce and Lee Brice.

Trey Louis: Trey, a school shooting survivor, worked on his stage presence and performed 'Vienna' by Billy Joel.

Emma Bussee: Emma stirred the judges with her theater vibrato as she performed 'My Mind' by Yebba.

Megan Danielle: Megan, who got an unforgettable surprise from former Idol Lauren Daigle during the auditions, stunned judges with 'Up To The Mountain' by Patty Griffin.

Dawson Wayne: Dawson Wayne stunned the judges with his original song, 'Sour Skies'.

Elijah McCormick: Elijah teamed up with Lucy and delivered a powerful performance on 'My Girl' by the Temptations during the Hollywood Week duet round. He advanced to Showstoppers.

Elise Kristine: Elise advanced to Showstoppers with Matt. But 'American Idol' viewers weren't impressed with her duet.

Hannah Nicolaisen: Hannah performed 'It’s Your Love' by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and impressed the judges with her authentic voice.

Warren Peay: Warren teamed up with Hannah to deliver a stirring performance that Luke dubbed 'magical'.

Isaac Brown: Isaac messed up during his performance. He and his teammate Zachariah forgot the lyrics of 'I’m Still Standing' by Elton John. However, the judges considered the duo's past performances and advanced them to Showstoppers.

Kaylin Hedges: Platinum ticket winner delivered perfect harmonies as she performed 'Don’t Stop Me Now' by Queen.

Tyson Venegas: Platinum ticket winner Tyson teamed with Kaylin to perform a powerful duet. Notably, the duo's performance gave Katy and Luke goosebumps.

Preston Duffee: Preston performed 'Buy Dirt' by Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan. He was quite nervous, but the judges advanced Preston to the next round.

Jayna Elise: Jayna performed 'I’m Still Standing' by Elton John with Adin and Summer. She advanced to the Showstoppers.

Adin Boyer: Adin, who is autistic, was left heartbroken when he faced difficulty while choosing his duet partner. But Jayna and Summer came forward to team up and deliver a soulful performance.

Summer Joy: Summer's soulful vocals were perfectly blended with Jayna and Adin.

Pjae: The aspiring singer delivered a fun and energetic performance and garnered praise from the judges.

Cam Amen: The Platinum Ticket winner performed 'Listen to the Music' by the Doobie Brothers. Katy praised Cam's performance and dubbed him 'compassionate'.

J Valerione: The aspiring singer ditched Cam just a night before the Hollywood Week duet. But Valerione returned the next morning to join Cam and blew away the judges.
