'Survivor' 50 invites fans for an exciting Idol Hunt Challenge and here's how you can win a ticket to finale
The reality series 'Survivor' will return to the small screen with a three-hour premiere episode on February 25 on CBS. The latest season, titled 'Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans,' is hosted by Jeff Probst in Fiji's Mamanuca Islands. A month before the season took off, the showrunners launched the Idol Hunt challenge to let viewers at home experience the thrill of the game. On January 30, the show kicked off the national scavenger hunt, in which 50 immunity idols were hidden in each of the 50 states.
After the Idol Hunt launched in states like Ohio, Montana, Hawaii, and Minnesota, 'Survivor' 50 has called on fans in New Jersey to take part in the Idol Hunt Challenge at the Jersey Shore to celebrate the show's landmark 50th season. The winner of the challenge will get the chance to watch the finale live on May 20 in Los Angeles. A clue for New Jersey's idol was dropped on the event’s website on Thursday, February 12. The clue read: "Where waves roll in and music stays / a boardwalk town of storied ways / at the stone where voices soar / a pony stands beside the shore." If we're correct, the fan experience will take place at (or near) The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The clue also included a photo of Convention Hall on the Asbury Park boardwalk.
How to take part in the ‘Survivor’ 50 challenge?
The legendary music club recently celebrated its 52nd anniversary, having opened on February 8, 1974. The fans will need to take a photo of the idol and send it to the QR code given to enter the sweepstakes. Two-time 'Survivor' winner, Tony Vlachos, is one of the 'Survivor' alums who will be present for the event, and lines are expected to be long. So, come prepared!
This season will feature three residents from the Garden State among the 24 castaways competing for the $1 million prize. New Jersey City resident Cirie Fields will appear for the fifth time in 'Survivor' 50, after competing in Seasons 12, 16, 20, and 34. Chrissy Hofbeck, hailing from Lebanon Township (but now lives in Florida), was the runner-up of Season 35 titled 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.' Tiffany Ervin, from the city of Elizabeth (but now lives in Los Angeles), will return after finishing in the eighth place on 'Survivor' 46.
Other cast members of 'Survivor' 50 include Angelina Keeley, Charlie Davis, Jenna Lewis-Dougherty, Benjamin 'Coach' Wade, Quintavius 'Q' Burdette, Savannah Louie, Aubry Bracco, Christian Hubicki, Jonathan Young, Colby Donaldson, Genevieve Mushaluk, Dee Valladares, Emily Flippen, Joe Hunter, Kamilla Karthigesu, Ozzy Lusth, Kyle Fraser, Mike White, Rick Devens, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, Rizo Velovic, and Savannah Louie.
