'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2 Episode 2, which aired on March 31 on Disney+, delivered another action-packed hour of drama showcasing the high stakes facing the citizens of New York City. Titled 'Shoot the Moon', the episode is written by showrunner Dario Scardapane and co-directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. The  Anti-Vigilante Task Force‘s (AVTF) brutality and unchecked power leave regular citizens terrorized and fearing for their safety. Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil) realizes that he can not stay hidden for long, as he needs to counter Fisk and his AVTF goons soon, especially if he wants to mount a powerful resistance against Mayor Wilson Fisk and end his corrupt reign.

The episode continues Murdock's fight against Fisk's corruption and grip over New York City. The AVTF's terror is evident when they show up at a bodega in Hell's Kitchen and arrest a child for stealing beer, along with the shop owner for threatening him with a gun. They do not even spare the innocent bystander, Soledad Ayala, who was just trying to intervene. Soledad is the widow of Hector Ayala, the Puerto Rican vigilante who was killed by the AVTF in Season 1. Her niece, Angela Del Toro, seeks help from Murdock's law partner, Kirsten McDuffie, but she comes across Hector’s box containing his White Tiger’s amulet, which gave him powers. Angela knows she can not take on the AVTF on her own, so she puts on the magical amulet and becomes the new White Tiger.

In the Season 2 premiere, the broadcast of the BB Report was hijacked by an imposter wearing a Fisk mask, who recounted the mayor's corruption to the public. This week's episode reveals that the person behind the mask is the journalist BB Urich herself. She uses her connection with Daniel Blake, Fisk's Deputy Mayor of Communications, to expose the mayor's crimes. However, Blake warns her of serious consequences if she continues her antics. Moreover, after saving Murdock from the AVTF in the last episode, Benjamin Poindexter (Bullseye) is seen entering a church to find Sister Maggie, Murdock's mother, but leaves after learning that she's out of the country. Why is he looking for her? It is only a matter of time before we learn the truth. Murdock warms up to the idea that maybe he can recruit Bullseye for his mission to take down Fisk, but Karen seems skeptical of his true intentions.

Fisk is the only one aware of Matt Murdock's alter ego as Daredevil, while the general public remains unaware of his secret identity. After Daredevil saved the mayor from Bullseye's bullet in episode 8 of Season 1, Fisk publicly acknowledges Murdock as a hero, forcing him to come out of hiding. It is a masterstroke from Fisk, who knows that the blind lawyer can not carry on his resistance efforts with the entire city's eyes on him. Murdock has been hiding in a secret room at Josie’s Bar since the events of Season 1. But he is forced to come out of his hideout and fight the AVTF goons after they raid the bar and attack Josie. Karen captures an AVTF agent, ties him to a chair, and brings him to Murdock, signaling that it is time to step out of the shadows and fight Fisk.
