What happened in 'Bachelor in Paradise' 2022 Episode 9?
After a week apart, the original Paradise ladies returned to the beach to make up (or split up) with their husbands in Episode 9. Hard facts were disclosed, tears were shed, and the three guys (Alex, Adam, and Tyler), remaining at the hotel, made their way to the beach in search of love. Jesse Palmer ultimately informed the girls they could go back to the beach, but they didn't all come back at the same time. Jill, Shanae and Genevieve were the first to return. Brittany came after. Then Victoria and Serene showed up.
Aaron and Genevieve, the first pair to reunite, welcomed each other with a tight hug. Genevieve revealed that she had spent the bulk of the week in bed, sobbing and missing Aaron. She said that she did not offer any of the men romantic attention, did not go on dates and did not kiss anybody. Aaron informed her that despite the fact that other males on the beach were enticing him, he had only thought about her all week. He claimed that he made verbal promises to her before she departed and would not break them. The two kissed and resumed their conversation just where they left off. "I’m sorry you went through so much stress…I was in the pool all day playing Sharks and Minnows and drinking beers," Aaron laughed.
Logan was lying on a day bed with Kate when Shanae returned to the beach. Shanae drew him away to catch up, and she disclosed to Logan that despite going on a date with Tyler, she was still completely committed to him. Logan mentioned that he went on two dates and that, while he had a good time with Sarah, things didn't work out. He acknowledged that after their second date, he thought she was someone he wanted to pursue further. Shanae was perplexed and stated that when she left the beach, she believed their connection was firm. Logan tried to blame his new connection on Shanae's feelings for James, but she wasn't having it. He asks Shanae if he may embrace her, but she says no. Later in the episode, Shanae meets Logan once again and confronts Kate, who "talked s**t" about her on "Women Tell All."
Jill and Jacob's reunion began with joy and hugs, and ended with tears and a farewell. Jacob claimed he developed a connection with Kate, they kissed, and though it didn't last, the fact that he discovered a deeper connection than the one he shared with Jill made him understand they should break up. Jill was angry, but she was also relieved that she had finally found some answers. She didn't want to start over with a new person, so she left Paradise.
The episode's most amicable split occurred between Andrew and Brittany. After meeting up, the two realized they were on the same page and wanted to look into other possibilities. Andrew wanted to date Jessenia, while Brittany wanted to date Tyler. The two parted on excellent terms, with no ill will, mutual respect, and best wishes.
The episode's most memorable reunion was certainly that of Paradise's golden couple, Brandon and Serene. Brandon and Serene sprinted to one other after catching eyes on the beach, and she leaped into his arms as he cried, "YES BABY!" The two kissed, and it appeared as though they were about to be engaged right there and then. Brandon instead looked Serene in the eyes and stated, "I love you, Serene Brook Russell. And that’s not gonna stop." She stated that she too loved him. And they acknowledged that by the end of their journey, they might envisage an engagement.
Johnny and Victoria also reunited for a run and jump, but their talk wasn't as upbeat as Brandon and Serene's. Victoria revealed that she originally avoided any romantic relationships with the five new males, but on her last night at the hotel, she received a date card and asked Alex out. She claimed Alex checked a number of her boxes, and Johnny was not pleased. The two freely discussed Victoria's fears about Johnny, but they essentially left things between them hanging. Alex came to the beach before the episode ended, implying that Victoria would have to have some difficult conversations in the upcoming episode.
