VALLARTA, MEXICO: Lace Morris was expected to leave on October 24 episode of 'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 8. Regardless of how heartbreaking it was to watch her leave, Bachelor Nation praised her for unleashing a thunderstorm on the boys on the beach.

Lace Morris was already at a disadvantage when she entered 'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 8. Before even going to the beach, 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' alums are frequently acquainted with one another. Lace faced an uphill struggle after being gone from the series since 2016. Lace's trip back to Paradise withered despite her best efforts in Season 8, leaving fans questioning what's next for the former phony birthday girl.

Finally, the Paradise veteran fell victim to something that happens every year: someone else arrives, and you suddenly become a less desirable alternative. To put it bluntly, that stinks, yet that appears to be what occurred here. Lace formed a connection with fan favorite Rodney Matthews during Season 8, and it appeared like the two had a good thing going until Jesse Palmer removed the whole female cast from the beach and brought in a fresh batch of single ladies. Lace, now stranded at a different hotel, could do nothing but watch as Rodney struck up a new connection with Clayton Echard's season newbie Eliza Isichei. "It’s tough for me this week, being caught between two amazing people. And so, I have a lot to figure out," Rodney said in a confessional.

Rodney didn't appear to be too confused about his sentiments, despite the fact that he took Eliza on a date as soon as he had the chance. "I'm just a wreck," Lace said in a confessional. "I don't want to keep thinking about what Rodney's doing." Lace, not wanting to be left in the wind, came to the beach unexpectedly and confronted Rodney when he returned from his rendezvous with Eliza. Lace opens the Oct. 24 episode by informing Rodney that her past few days had been "hell" without him and that she wanted to ensure they were on the same page.

"It’s either you or no one," she said, hoping he felt the same way. Rodney, on the other hand, seems to have refocused his attention on Eliza. "I don’t want to waste your time at all," he explained. "I don’t want to hurt you." He tried to justify the love triangle between himself, Lace, and Eliza, but harm had already been done. Lace opted to leave Paradise after being moved to tears, but not before speaking with the other Paradise males, including Michael, who reassured her that her "person" is out there.

Barring the extremely uncomfortable scene with Lace leaving in tears while Rodney and Eliza continue to connect, fans fell in love with the fact that she left Paradise after only dropping a bomb on the oiriginal group of men. A fan tweeted: "Lace casually telling the guys there’s 5 new hot men at the hotel with them then going home." Another tweet read: "At least Lace caused the guys massive anxiety before leaving… I love that for her." Another fan quipped: "The guys when Lace dropped that there were other men." On the other hand, some viewers were not stoked to see the breakup last on screen for so long: "We just wasted like 15 min on lace and Rodney’s thinly sliced connection and they can’t let Brandon go look at serene through the glass or something damn."

Fans also hailed the men for comforting Lace while she was low: "Shout out to the guys for not leaving Lace to cry alone." While one other fan suggests: "I’m gonna float a wild idea out there for y’all to discuss: Lace as the Bachelorette." Seeing how Lace handled the situation, a fan wrote: "Amazing how Lace is acting like an adult who is hurt...not the psycho they keep trying to make her out to be!" A wild theory from the viewers also include: "Unpopular opinion but Lace should have known that the producers would do her dirty. They always do."

Further slamming the producers, a fan tweeted: "yea they set up lace so the girls would move on/try with the other guys … it’s giving love island when they would send postcards to the girls of the guys acting wolf #BachelorInParadise." Another asked: "Pause. Did the producers sacrifice Lace so the girls would consider talking to the new dudes?!?!?!?! #BachelorInParadise."
