Season 4 of 'Welcome To Plathville' is clearly a far cry from what fans experienced back in Season 1. Back then, the family painted themselves as a tight-knit religious family. However, it all seems to be coming apart, sooner than expected.

While the Plath kids rebelling was a longtime coming, Kim and Barry's separation seems to have taken everyone by surprise, including Barry himself. With Kim putting her happiness first, it seems as though the future is uncertain for all the Plaths.

Ever since Kim moved out, it seems as though the Plath family has been struggling to keep it together. Lydia, who is the oldest sibling in the house at the moment, decided it was best to take her father, Barry, out on a picnic, in order to check up on him and see how he was handling things. Barry explained that he was glad he could talk to Lydia, but at the same time, was careful about what he said to her, seeing that she was still his daughter and he didn't want to burden her with all that was happening. Lydia, on the other hand, felt as though she needed to be there for everyone, especially her younger siblings, noting that they saw her as a mother, as Kim was not around anymore. What was meant to be a sweet moment between a father and a daughter had fans feeling extremely uncomfortable, as they took to Twitter to talk about it.

"This dad has always came off “Controlling” and Poor Lydia she just dumb and lost. Pretty sure she will be on the show sister wives #welcometoplathville" tweeted a fan. "Lydia needs to get away and live an independent life #welcometoplathville and not be weighed down with grown up issues." added another. "Why do I feel like I'm watching a first date? Lydia, you're the mom now  #welcometoplathville" said a fan. "#welcometoplathville anybody else finding all this incredibly inappropriate and uncomfortable ????" noted another. "Lydia is the obvious mother at home following Kim and Barry’s separation! The relationship between Barry and Lydia is weird! #welcometoplathville " said another. "Lydia and Lizard Man have such a creepy relationship  #WelcomeToPlathville" wrote another.
