Growing up under the strict and watchful eye of one's parents can often result in rebellion. After all, there is only for so long that a person and live under someone else's thumb without feeling stifled all the time. For Moriah, breaking free from her parents' control has allowed her to express herself and be the most authentic version of who she is meant to be.

While Kim and Barry have been coming around to the fact that their daughter's life is hers to live, their longstanding rules and regulations have had an impact on her. In this week's episode, Moriah gets into a rather sensitive topic regarding her clothing style with her boyfriend Max.

'Welcome to Plathville': Olivia tells Moriah about her miscarriage amid safe sex talk

Having been raised in a very conservative household, Moriah was told that she had to dress a certain way and to expose any amount of skin meant that she was 'advertising' herself. After finding her freedom, Moriah has decided to dress how she likes, seeing that after being controlled so much, she wanted to be who she was. For Max, however, his insecurity began to flair, as he assumed that she was dressing up to gain attention from other men and even went as far as to ask if her confidence relied on showing her ass. Moriah handled the situation with grace, pointing out that she dresses up for herself, and men hit on her regardless of if she is covered or not. And seeing that she doesn't entertain that behavior, Max's insecurity needed to be addressed and not her clothing.

Fans were thoroughly impressed with Moriah and her maturity. "Proud of Moriah for standing up for herself against Max's sexist ways!! #welcometoplathville" tweeted a fan. "This is how it starts Moriah, he starts talking about your clothes, then it'll be makeup, next thing he'll be insecure about is you working because the guys are coming on to you. This is HIS insecurity. Don't bend and don't change girl #welcometoplathville" added another. "YOU GO GIRL! so impressed with moriah on this subject #welcometoplathville" tweeted a fan. "Dear Max, Up until now, we've mostly liked you. Here's a piece of advice from me to you. Nobody who wears cargo shorts has no business telling nobody how they should or shouldn't be dressing. Love, Me #WelcomeToPlathville" tweeted a user.
"Moriah is such a wise, young lady! She's so sweet, but stays true to herself, and doesn't anyone, whether it be her parents or Max, dictate who she is or her actions. I have to stan #welcometoplathville" tweeted a fan.

But while Moriah and Max put in the time and effort to address their problems, Ethan and Olivia seemed to be stuck in the same rut, unable to meet each in the middle regarding their decisions for the future. Which each passing episode, both of them seem to grow apart and want entirely different things. While fans were torn between the two, majority seemed to be on Ethan's side of things.
"@TLC Run Ethan, RUN! She has damaged every single aspect of your life and your family relationship. She wanted to change you so much that she pushed you away. Run like hell. There is a woman that wants to be with you and manipulate you. #welcometoplathville" tweeted a fan.

"No Olivia it's not on "healthy" terms it's on "your" terms. My heart is broken. Ethan gave up his family for you and that still wasn't good enough. You just want things your way. Ugh I was really pulling for these two So sad Ethan has to give everything up #WelcomeToPlathville" agreed another.
"Olivia and Ethan's relationship has been a series of ultimatums. "Give up your parents or I'm leaving....give up the things you love to do or bye .... give up up on where you want to live or it's over." #welcometoplathville" added a user.
