LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hulu's drama series 'We Were the Lucky Ones' paints a heartbreaking picture of a Jewish family struggling to survive the atrocities of the Holocaust.

Directed by Erica Lipez, the eight-episode series is based on Georgia Hunter's novel of the same name.

The sixth episode of the series included fresh developments, with Halina Kurc (Joey King) successfully bringing her parents, Sol Kurc (Lior Ashkenazi) and Nechuma Kurc (Robin Weigert), to safety.

However, it is worth noting that the episode made no mention of Addy Kurc (Logan Lerman) or Genek Kurc (Henry Lloyd-Hughes), instead focusing on Mila Kurc (Hadas Yaron), Jakob Kurc (Amit Rahav), and Halina.

The sixth episode demonstrated that the heightened killings of Jews are reaching their peak, with ever-increasing danger looming for survival.

Amidst this, Jakob reunites with his wife Bella (Eva Feiler) and they flee for their safety.

Halina's bravery shined through once again when she rescued her parents from the gunpowder factory and placed them in a safe house.

Although she, too, had some difficulties along the road, as her ethnicity as a Jew was almost found by her landlady, Adam Eichenwald (Sam Woolf) saved the day and prevented their cover from being exposed.

Mila, on the other hand, took a bet in the episode when she fled to Warsaw with her daughter Felicia (Belle Swarc) and began working as a babysitter for a German family.

The forthcoming episode will be fraught with challenges for the Kurc family as they strive to survive in the face of adversity.

Jakob and Bella have fled the Ghetto for their safety, but it is unclear where they are going. It is probable that they may rejoin Halina in Warsaw.

On the other side, things will take a quick turn for Halina, who has already had a confrontation with her landlady, who claims someone alerted her that Halina is Jewish. As a result, someone in a future episode may cause her further issues.

Additionally, since Mila is hiding her true identity, her haughty German employer is certain to uncover it, adding to her escalating issues.

Furthermore, Sol and Nechuma will face increased danger when the Blue Police attack their hiding place, causing further trouble for the family.

Although the director's details are still unknown, Adam Milch and Tea Ho will write it.

The remaining episodes will run once a week, with the finale showing on Wednesday, May 2.
