LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Dancing With The Stars' is known for saving the best for last, so fans were excited when they learned Wayne Brady would be closing up the night. And the comedian did not disappoint, as social media exploded as he danced to Elvis Presley's 'Burning Love' with partner Witney Carson.

He came out and rocked a performance to the Elvis classic with high intensity, flawless skill, and even a genuine portrayal of the King. Given that he is a man who is accustomed to adapting and performing on stage, Wayne gave this everything he had. Wayne has the quirk that, even if his performance weren't faultless, viewers wouldn't assume that he would spend much time fretting about it. He has a sizable following, which is one of the reasons he's in the running for the title.

Wayne was "on fire," according to Judge Bruno Tonioli, with a lot of fantastic Elvis details on the proper rhythms. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba noticed no signs of discomfort in the knee, which was smooth and crisp. Judge Len Goodman said there was no messing or worrying, that it was a "proper, great jive," but he wants Wayne to protect his knees so he may compete for as long as possible. Judge Derek Hough believed the two had the finest kicks and flicks of the night's jives. The pair scored 8 points from each judge, for a total of 32 out of 40. They were tied for first place on the leaderboard with Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas & Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy.

Even though Wayne was among the high scorers, fans believe he deserved more: "y’all could’ve gave wayne and whitney a couple of 9s. #dwts #dwts31." Praising Wayne on his performance, another fan wrote: "WAYNE BRADY DID NOT HAVE TO GO THAT HARD #dwts." Fans further commend the comedian for showing compassion to fellow contestant Selma Blair's MS condition: "Wayne acknowledging Selma dancing with her MS when people try to compare his knee injuries to her. He's so great. #DWTS." Some fans are questioning if judges are holding back from giving 9s at this stage of the competition: "Wayne not getting a 9 for that makes me believe the judges aren't allowed to give 9s this early in the competition. #dwts."
