'DWTS' Season 31: Tyra Banks' live show blunders continue as fans mock her outfit and hosting skills

From outrageous outfit to messing up scripts, another night of disaster for 'DWTS' host Tyra Banks

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans of 'Dancing With The Stars' have criticized Tyra Banks' outrageous and unsightly dress for Elvis night. The criticism didn't limit itself to her outfit, as they couldn't digest her referring to judge Len Goodman as 'papa. This comes after the host was chastised for messing up on live television during the premiere episode last week.

'DWTS' celebrated Elvis Presley's music for Week 2 of the program and host Tyra Banks dressed to match. She donned a revealing satin red dress with knee-length leather boots and a tight leather coat, which she accessorized with a massive oversized belt. To complement the throwback motif, Tyra's hair was fashioned with a '60s blowout. In the meantime, her co-host Alfonso Ribeiro looked smart in a navy blue two-piece with a subdued shirt and tie.

Tyra has been recognized for her wild live TV outfits since taking over as host in 2020. Earlier, the model changed her outfits frequently during each show. However, many viewers were not impressed with Tyra's Elvis-inspired style and rushed to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction. A disappointed fan simply asked Tyra Banks to burn her wig after the show's live broadcast: "Tyra Banks need to fire her wardrobe stylist and that wig. Burn it. #DWTS31." Calling her outfit an odd cut for Disney, a viewer wrote: "#DWTS31 Beautiful tonight for the most part but for what you did to the song Viva Las Vegas you should be punished. That was gut wrenching. And did Tyra's dress look funny to anyone else besides me? That's an odd cut for Disney." Another viewer mocked Tyra by saying that her outfit was styled by 'The Real Housewives of Potomac' star, Gizelle Bryant: " Tyra looking like she got styled by Gizelle Bryant #RHOP #DWTS." One 'DWTS' viewer even compared her outfit to curtain: "Tyra looks like when the curtain gets stuck coming down at the ballet. #DWTS."

The bashing didn't just stop at her outfit, fans also called her out for several blunders with her script especially her not knowing the names of the dancers she was talking to: "Tyra not knowing the dancers names again. How is she so bad? #dwts. She’s gotta get a clue. No one likes her but we like the dancers and celebs." Another viewer added how her incapability to stick to the script makes her unfit as a host: "tyra banks cannot speak english she fumbles her script and her words each episode i need her to never host again #dwts." After her back to back blunders, fans now demand to bring host Tom Bergeron back: "How many times can Tyra mess up but yet still remain as host? How about just suck it up on bring back @Tom_Bergeron #DWTS." Making situation awkward for the contestants and the pro dancers didn't go unnoticed by the fans either: "Tyra yelling “get a room” would be gross and unprofessional anyway but add in the fact that Emma’s soon to be ex-husband is just feet away is super uncomfortable. #DWTS."

Adding to the list of awkwardness was Tyra calling Judge Len Goodman 'papa.' Fans on social media begged Tyra for not using the word again as they write: "Mm can we NOT call Len “Papa”? It’s uncomfortable. Not a fan of that choice, Tyra. #DWTS." Fans got also frustrated with Tyra continuously cutting Len off: "Len every time Tyra interrupts him #DWTS."
