In recent years, the teens have been delivering killer performances on the stage of 'The Voice'! In an October 2024 episode of the NBC singing competition, a 14-year-old singer named Jaukeem Fortson from Elberton, Georgia, shocked the judges with his powerful rendition of 'Easy on Me' by Adele. During Fortson's performance, Michael Bublé was the first coach to turn his chair, followed by Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire. All three coaches couldn't believe their eyes when they saw a young teenager showcasing his strong vocal performance. As per Entertainment Weekly, Bublé made an effort to act calm, meanwhile, Dogg couldn't hide his emotions and quipped, "What?!” when he got the chance to look at Forston after turning his chair.

After Fortson's performance ended, McEntire gushed over the teen singer and went on to say, “My gosh — you blew my socks off today! You're in the right spot right now to be chosen by people who will help guide you. We're going to learn a lot from you. I have a feeling, whoever you choose, because you're going to be around for a while. I know you are, and I would love to have you on my team."

Soon after, coach Gwen Stefani expressed major regret as she didn't turn her chair for Fortson and said, "Okay, I'm having major regret right now. I'm so excited for you because you have so much potential. It's just going to take a little bit of coaching, figuring out how you define your runs, and I'm just happy because you got three incredible coaches that are dying to get you on their team. So, congratulations."

According to NBC, Bublé raved over Fortson's powerful vocals, "I couldn’t turn fast enough! You have a beautiful voice. Gwen was right when she was talking about. One of us is going to help you to hone that, but if I were you, I would have done exactly the same thing. It's like you're given one chance to come out here and blow people away. I don't know if I'm more excited for us as coaches, for you, or for North America to meet you. You have that thing that we want our artists to have. We all want you badly on our team, but I’ve gotta say it — having you here, this is really our gift.”

Then, Dogg chimed in, “I wanna give a shout out to your parents for raising you the right way. It shows the way you handle yourself like a professional, and you have full control of the stage! Now, there's some things I would love to work with you on as far as the scene, to make sure that you can bring it all in. I know it maybe a nervous experience coming out here and not really knowing but once you get past all of that and get to hanging out with Uncle Snoop and getting comfortable, you know what I'm saying? Then we going to get down to what we do around here. But at the same time, I just want to tell you, man, you've done a great job for your age." At the end of the day, Fortson decided to join Team Reba.
