LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood’s biggest summer release in 2023 will once again see Tom Cruise perform death-defying stunts in 'Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One', the seventh installment in the 'Mission Impossible' franchise. The world will be under threat again and its most prized spy, Ethan Hunt, will have to summon all his powers to stop the evil forces once again.

Speaking of the impossible, Tom Cruise has time and again leveled up in his capacity to perform stunts for his films. Whether it's hanging by a thread at the top of Burj Khalifa in Dubai or holding his breath underwater for 6-7 minutes or the baffling audacity to hang from the door of a cargo plane, Cruise has never shied away from a challenge. And this dedication has impressed his co-star Vanessa Kirby who plays the White Widow in the latest installment. Vanessa is set to reprise her role in the new Mission Impossible film and had a few words about her co-star’s ability to not fear at all.

'He just found it exhilarating'

Vanessa remembered her time on the set when Cruise was on a course to ride a motorcycle off a cliff and use the parachute to land. “He did it many times in one day. He did it consecutively…and repeatedly so he could capture all the different angles and sides of it.” She saw no fear on Cruise’s face and never saw the veteran star nervous about the stunt at all. "He was just so calm. He had no fear. He just found it exhilarating.”

Vanessa was drawn to Cruise’s dedication to cinema and his sheer passion to entertain the audiences. She believed that for Cruise, nothing seems impossible at the moment. “That kind of belief in cinema and what one could achieve and his passion for it is so inspiring. He kind of believes he can do the impossible and then he does.” Vanessa mentioned that if allowed, she would like to continue as a member of this franchise for as long as possible since watching Cruise perform gravity-defying stunts is nothing short of a dream.

When is Dead Reckoning Part One releasing?

Paramount Pictures premiered 20 minutes of footage of the film at Cinemacon in April but the movie is expected to hit theatres on July 14, 2023, in the US. Given Cruise’s previous attempt with ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ to enthrall the audiences, it’s expected that the new Mission Impossible will break all records set by its predecessors.
