Here's how Henry Cavill made it to Tom Cruise's enviable Christmas cake list
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Cruise, the action star famed for his life-threatening stunts, is actually a very kind person. After they finished filming the 2018 movie 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout', the actor included his co-star Henry Cavill to his list of cake-giving recipients. After the launch of 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout', Cavill unexpectedly gained more attention than was initially thought achievable, and not just from fans. Speaking of the memorable bathroom brawl scene from the 2018 film, Cruise was so impressed by Cavill that the actor quickly grew close to him and added him to his Christmas cake A-list.
Apart from a celebrity's net worth or quantity of accolades, one of the most sought-after criteria for determining if a celebrity is an A-lister is whether they make Tom Cruise's holiday gift list. Every year, Cruise delivers a $126 coconut Bundt cake to a group of A-listers he has collaborated with in Hollywood. While some stars on the list have been there for years, others come and go. For instance, Brooke Shields is no longer a recipient of a Tom Cruise Christmas cake.

How Henry Cavill with his iconic 'arm reload' made it to the actor's list?
The world had already fallen in love with him, and whenever Cavill's antagonist appeared on screen in his movie persona, the part seemed to come to life on its own. The 'Top Gun' actor was mesmerized by Cavill's appearance and demeanor while recalling his famous "arm reload," as per FandomWire. Compared to Cavill, the 'Mission Impossible' actor is more experienced, yet both have established careers in Hollywood. Henry Cavill and Tom Cruise were destined to cross paths because Cruise's enduring franchise received numerous sequels.
The two did meet when they first encountered one other on the 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' set in 2018. Cavill accidentally captured a famous scene that had Cruise and other people captivated by his charisma as the two attractive actors were set to engage in combat. Cavill appears to be reloading it as he pumps his fists during the famous toilet battle scene. Cruise claims that after several viewings of the scene, he was completely enthralled by Cavill's acting abilities.
During a BBC Radio 1 interview, the 'Jack Reacher' actor shared his response to witnessing Henry Cavill in action, "We looked at that over and over in rushes. We’re going ‘How did you do that Henry?’, Okay? He’s so talented that he can do that. I remember the time I saw that take and he did that and I was like ‘This is awesome! This is amazing.'" Cruise was really intrigued by Cavill and joined him in his regular Christmas habit of receiving a cake on Christmas.
Henry Cavill added to the Christmas cake list
The 'Jack Reacher' star enjoys giving gifts to others, and Cavill was no exception. Speaking about it on 'The Graham Norton Show', the 'Superman' star recounted the "unhealthy" cake Cruise had sent him and how he had to forsake his diet because of it. Cavill said, "We did the famous Christmas thing which happens every year is that Tom sends a Christmas cake, a coconut cake. One day, I received said coconut cake that said ‘Happy Christmas Henry, From Tom Cruise’ which is pretty cool by the way." The actor went on to describe how he split the cake open and kept eating until all of it was gone, "Cut it open, it is the most luxurious, unhealthy cake. And so um, I then…ate the whole thing."
Why did Tom Cruise stop sending Brooke Shields Christmas cake?
In an interview with People on April 4, the 57-year-old Manhattan resident said that she "was on the list for a while" until the cakes supposedly stopped arriving. For using an antidepressant to manage postpartum depression after giving birth to her first child, Rowan, who is now 19 years old, Shields once came under fire from Cruise in 2005. Shields published an opinion piece in the New York Times as a response to the criticism. Despite their open disagreement, the two remained friends.
