'Van Helsing' Season 4: Violet and Jack may be valuable allies to Vanessa as she takes on Dark One

The previous episodes revealed that Violet is immune to vampirism and Jack too displayed the same powers, hinting at a possible connection to Vanessa.
UPDATED OCT 17, 2019

'Van Helsing' Season 4 has introduced two new characters with powers similar to Vanessa Van Helsing (Kelly Overton). Violet Hansen (Keeya King) and Jack (Nicole Munoz) have very little in common but it has been implied that they may be long-lost relatives of Vanessa and that makes them very important players in the war against vampires.

Episode 2 revealed that Violet, who is the adopted daughter of the mysterious Blak Tek operative Hansen (Neal McDonough), is both immune to vampirism and able to cure vampires with her blood. By the end of the episode, Doc (Rukiya Bernard) tested Violet's blood and discovered that she may not exactly be human and it is heavily implied that she may be a Van Helsing.

Similarly, in Episode 3 we saw Jack stab herself in the heart after being bitten by a vampire, choosing to die rather than let herself be turned. Though her friends tried to give her a good cremation, they discovered that the vampire who bit the young woman had been cured and witnessed Jack rising from the flames, her wounds almost completely healed.

That episode ended with Jack setting off on a quest to find Vanessa and discover her true nature. At this point, it seems almost certain that these two young women have some connection to the Van Helsing bloodline but we don't yet know what that link might be. They could potentially prove to be very useful allies for Vanessa, especially since she is planning to go up against the Dark One.

However, while it would be nice for Vanessa to get some new companions, there's a fair chance that this is all just part of the game that the vampires are playing with the Van Helsings. For all we know, Violet and Jack could just be two more unwitting pawns being used to trap Vanessa and unleash the evil of the Dark One on the world once again.

'Van Helsing' Season 4 Episode 4 will air on Syfy October 18.
