Spoilers ahead for 'Van Helsing' Season 4 Episode 1 'Dark Destiny' and Episode 2 'Dark Ties'

In the first episode of 'Van Helsing' Season 4, Hansen (Neal McDonough) discovered that Julius (Aleks Paunovic) still has some of his vampire abilities despite having been cured. This leads to Blak-Tek tasking Doc (Rukiya Bernard) with finding a way to replicate whatever mutation is in Julius' blood, to be used as a weapon against the undead.

Meanwhile, Hansen revealed he has a daughter, Violet Hansen (Keeya King) who is an incredibly formidable fighter and ordered Julius to be her sparring partner. Now in the second episode 'Dark Ties', Julius makes some interesting discoveries about who, or rather what, Violet truly is.

After a training session where Julius warned Violet never to hesitate while fighting a vampire and declared that she's not ready to face the outside world, Violet convinced Julius to join her in an excursion to Lowtown where they get separated. Violet successfully gambles at cards and makes out with a bartender before she is ambushed by a group of vampires. Though Julius swoops in for the rescue, he is unable to stop Violet from getting bitten.

However, to everyone's surprise, Violet's blood ends up curing the attacking vampire and the bite seems not to have any effect on her, just like with Vanessa Van Helsing (Kelly Overton) and Vanessa's sister Scarlett Harker (Missy Peregrym). After getting the young woman safely back home, Julius takes some of her blood to Doc and asks her to test it because he thinks Violet may be yet another lost Van Helsing.

Earlier in the episode, Doc's research seemed to have hit a dead-end because even though she was able to figure out Van Helsing blood is ever so slightly not human, she can't quite see what the difference actually is. She complained to Julius, and later to Avery (Anna Galvin), that there seems to be a missing link and after testing Violet's blood, she realizes Violet is, in fact, the missing piece of the puzzle.

However, Doc is prevented from sharing her discovery with anyone else because she is captured and locked in a cell by Hansen, who reveals Violet is actually his adopted daughter, hinting she may actually be a long-lost descendant of Abraham Van Helsing and just what the world needs to end the vampire threat once and for all.

'Van Helsing' Season 4 Episode 3 'Love Less' will air on Syfy October 11.
