TXT nominated for their first 'People's Choice Awards', fans say 'let's get it MOA'

HYBE’s TXT bags their first international nomination at the 2021 ‘People’s Choice Awards’ as the group releases their music video ‘Frost’ 

Following the footsteps of their sunbaes (seniors) BTS from HYBE, TXT members have now gone on to make their global popularity even more prominent with a new international nomination. The group has been doing extremely well on domestic charts like Korea’s Hanteo and Japan’s Oricon but adding on to that the group has seen fruitful results on International charts from the US like Billboard.

By peaking at Number 5 with their last release, ‘Chaos Chapter: FREEZE’ on Billboard 200, the main albums chart from Billboard, TXT has proved their global standing despite being a rather new group from the fourth-generation of K-pop. The album also became Billboard’s longest-charting K-pop album that was released in 2021 making them stand out as a new boy group in the industry. Not only the album but songs from TXT’s latest release also made appearances on other Billboard charts like Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US over the last few weeks for their songs, ‘Loser = Lover’ and ‘0X1 = Lovesong’ charting on both lists simultaneously.

TXT bags a nomination a 2021 People’s Choice Awards

As TXT go on their way to a global rise, the group has now made their debut on America’s ‘People’s Choice Awards’ as a nominee. On October 28, the official website of the awards show saw the nominees for the upcoming event. It revealed the nominees for various categories. HYBE artists took the lead with five nominations in total -- four of which were led by BTS members and one nomination by BTS’ hoobaes (juniors) TXT.

TXT was nominated for the first time in the ‘New Artists for 2021’ category. Alongside TXT, other nominees in the same category were artists like The Kid LAROI, Olivia Rodrigo, 24K Goldn, Giveon, Bella Poarch, Tate McRae, and Rauw Alejandro. All these artists have risen to global popularity over the last few years. 

TXT releases the music video for ‘Frost’

On October 28, TXT released the music video for the song, ‘Frost’ that was part of their second regular album, ‘Chaos Chapter: Freeze’. The fantasy music video is extremely unique and intense with music and lyrics that are very different from what has been released from TXT in the past. The music video for ‘Frost’ by TXT opens with the five members of the group escaping from an imaginary land called the ‘Magic Island’ when a blizzard hits and everything starts to freeze.

Fans are overwhelmed to see such a complicated video from TXT while they get busy theorizing and analyzing the music video. While MOA’s were on the brink of understanding the video, TXT got nominated for another award. With multiple nominations, TXT fans are now asking other MOA’s (TXT fandom) to get busy voting as TXT is nominated at the 2021 ‘Asia Artist Awards’, The 2021 ‘People’s Choice Awards’ as well as three music videos to stream.

One fan said, “LET'S GET IT MOA,” as they urged the fans to start voting. One more fan said, “MOA'sss please!! Do vote TXT here too. I know we are all busy but please, do spare some time for them. Treat this one as our practice for the year-end voting. Let's get them back on top 3.” One more fan added, “Moas are busy voting for AAA and Peoples Choice Award and streaming Frost MV, 0X1=Lovesong and Loser=Loser, next!” One fan said, “Hi moa's, let's not forget to vote TXT on People's Choice Awards.” Another fan insisted, “I voted for #TOMORROWXTOGETHER in #TheNewArtist. Cast your votes for the People's Choice Awards.”
