War demands sacrifice

With a major war raging around them, Varian and his team are on an important mission to get as many people as they can out of France. Varian tries to help the Chagalls leave Marseille. He goes to extreme lengths to complete his one final mission before leaving the city. His actions lead him to make a big decision and leave the man he loves for the sake of war. He breaks up with Thomas and takes it upon himself to drop the Chagalls out of the city. Thomas tries to talk him out of it, but Varian is determined and didn't back out.

On the other hand, Paul's little brother joins forces with Albert, Lisa, and her husband to rescue his brother from prison. They follow the plan of sabotaging the transport vehicle. The mission takes a turn, and Paul losses his brother, who sacrificed his life to get him out.

Mary Jayne successfully convinced Albert to leave the city with her, get married, and settle in the US. At one point, he agrees to run away with her in their little fantasy world. But when Petit approaches him with the plan to rescue Paul, his death leaves a mark on him. He says his goodbyes to Mary Jayne for the sake of war and join Paul.

‘Transatlantic’ is streaming now on Netflix.
