‘Tommy’ Episode 7: Fans are growing 'tired' of mother-daughter drama between Tommy and Kate

Among all the chaos and confusion going on in the episode’s plot, fans feel overwhelmed with the repeated hatred of Kate for her mother and they think it’s time that this is done with

It has been established time and again that Abigail Thomas/Tommy is a lot of things, just not a great mother. For reasons unknown, she chose her career and profession over being a mother to her daughter. This had ruined their parent-child relationship.

From the very first episode, we had seen Tommy struggling to patch up with her daughter Kate, and trying to start all afresh. They were just on the verge of mending their relationship when something created a rift again. Kate’s husband, Henry, was found to be a client of a prostitution ring, which Tommy was following from a previous case. She had no choice but to confront her daughter with the news.

One fan who is done watching this mother-daughter drama said, “Well, once again Kate is upset with her mother on the show #Tommy on the network @CBS”

Another fan is equally exhausted and wishes for Kate to not lose her cool on Tommy. She said, “When will there ever be a time 2 or 3 weeks in a row when she isn't angry at her mother for something? I am tired of seeing her storylines about hating her mother on and off. I really really hope Kate isn't going to be mad at her mom for this...#Tommy”

It’s not like fans like Henry or something. In fact, many don’t like his character, while others are indifferent.

“Oh no, we don't like Henry anymore. Of course, he doesn't want to rehash the past, with his including prostitutes and massage parlor #Tommy #TommyCBS”, says a fan.

“Wow, Tommy's son-in-law is a douche”, comments another.

Another fan supports Tommy in exposing Henry. But he also predicts that Henry will obviously turn it around and turn Kate and Tommy against each other. “Tommy should've arrested him on the spot for trying to play the victim. Now he's going to spin this so Kate blames her. Can't wait until Kate dumps him for Diaz. #Tommy”, says the fan.

In all fairness, this could be Tommy’s way of protecting her daughter and granddaughter from a man with such history. And we also agree with the fans in what she did.
