Hallmark's returning with a fresh love story and this one has an original and fun plot! 'The Wedding Veil' is the channel's latest offering that will follow three best friends from college in their journey to love with a total of three movies. Yes, that's right we're being treated with a trilogy!

This installment of the Hallmark film follows the tale of Avery, Emma, and Tracey who find and buy an antique lace wedding veil and legend has it that whoever has it will come into the possession of love! The movie stars a lot of familiar faces like Lacey Chabert and Kevin McGarry who audiences love and know from other works on the channel. So before you tune into the movie on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 8/7 C, here's a closer look at your favorite actors!

Kevin McGarry as Peter

Kevin McGarry originally hails from Ontario, Canada. The actor wasn't always planning to go into showbiz but his career started as a happy accident early on in his freshman year in high school when he mistakenly entered a 12th-grade theater class. This is when he suddenly discovered a love for acting. Pursuing his passion Kevin went on to attend George Brown College graduating in 2007 with a degree in Creative Writing. Additionally, he also studied Theatre Arts at Fanshawe College in London, his hometown in Ontario, and later at the Pro Actors Lab in Toronto. His first appearance on TV was in a Budweiser commercial following which he booked many other ads as well.

He went on to land his first major television role as Dr Timothy Hudson in the drama series 'Open Heart' in 2015. The 2010s, also saw him appear in 'Saw: The Final Chapter' and in multiple new tv roles which include his portrayal of Mitch Cutty in 'Heartland', Nathan Grant in 'When Calls the Heart' and in 'When Hope Calls' on Hallmark. He will be part of the channel's upcoming movie and play the male lead, Peter.



 

Lacey Chabert as Avery

Lacey Chabert is a well-known American actress who caught the acting bug early on as a child. She went on to become a prominent child actress with her role as  Claudia Salinger in 'Party of Five'. Since then she has worked in multiple movies and tv shows and even performed on Broadway. Her many works include 'Lost in Space', ' The Brooke Ellison Story', ' Hello Sister, Goodbye Life', ' Baby Daddy', and more. The actress has even done voice work and lent her voice in ' Family Guy', 'Sonic the Hedgehog' video game and the animated series ' The Spectacular Spider-Man'.

Although she is more commonly recognized as Gretchen Wieners in 'Mean Girls', she is now also known as the  'Queen of Hallmark Christmas Movies' as she starred in over 27 Hallmark movies and continues to add more to her roster. Returning to the loved channel once more, she'll essay the role of Avery in 'The Wedding Veil'.
