LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' is back with another highly anticipated episode, featuring a fresh lineup of aspiring singers who will compete for the ultimate title of 'The Voice' champion. The show's four coaches -- Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, and Chance the Rapper -- sit in their iconic red chairs, ready to guide and mentor their chosen contestants through each round of the competition. Throughout the years, 'The Voice' has seen many talented singers come and go, with some making a lasting impact on the show's legacy. Previous contestants such as Cassadee Pope, Javier Colon, and Tessanne Chin have gone on to achieve great success in their careers, thanks to the platform that 'The Voice' provided them.

With each season, the stakes keep getting higher, and the competition gets tougher. But one thing is for sure - the judges and contestants of 'The Voice' season 23 will stop at nothing to deliver unforgettable performances and make their mark in the world of music. For Manasseh Samone, it was a familiar yet nerve-wracking experience. She had made it to the blind auditions on Season 22, but despite her impressive vocals, she hadn't made it past that first hurdle. But now, armed with her opera training and newfound confidence, she was ready to take the stage once again.

Who is Neil Salsic? 'The Voice' Season 23 contestant joins 'Team Blake' after getting all four chairs turned

Who is Manasseh Samone?

Manasseh Samone, an acclaimed American singer and songwriter, hails from Dallas, Texas. She is a preschool teacher and also a music major who studied opera. From her childhood, she suffered chronic insecurity due to the absence of her father. It was music that led her to search for acceptance and her only escape. Because of this childhood trauma, her ambition as an educator is to impart confidence to her pupils. She was a contestant on 'The Voice' Season 22, but her performance did not secure her a turn. But her return to Season 23 was quite eventful.

Manasseh's journey last season ended without a turn

Last season saw Manasseh perform Lauren Daigel's 'Rescue', but unfortunately that did not strike a chord with the judges back then. However, she was praised and commended for her beautiful, soul-stirring voice. Last season, Gwen Stefani commented on her "beautiful' vocal acrobatics and Camilla Cabello acknowledged her as a "really gifted singer". John Legend had also jumped in and told her that her vibrato needed polishing, while Blake really wished she came back for another shot next year. Taking her feedback very seriously, Manasseh did plot her return to 'The Voice' Season 23.

As she waited in the wings, her heart racing, Manasseh couldn't help but feel a sense of deja vu. The bright lights, the thrum of the music, the palpable tension in the air - it was all so familiar. But this time, she was determined to make her mark. Finally, it was her turn. She stepped onto the stage and took a deep breath. As the music started, Manasseh unleashed her powerful voice, filling the room with her operatic range. Manasseh's performance of Andra Day's 'Rise Up' was path-breaking, to say the least. Throughout her performance, she not only made sure to hit the high notes perfectly but also showcased her opera training. The moment she hit her first falsetto note, Chance The Rapper was quick to turn around. At that moment, her return to the show was truly worth it.

Chance, claims that the other coaches were "crazy" to not turn around for the Dallas singer. He called it "the biggest blessing of the whole show so far". Chance was truly impressed and lucky that he got her without having to fight it out with the other contestants. Chace further complimented her on her tone and her ability to control her breath while singing.

Kelly loved Manasseh's voice but also pointed out that she needs to find a balance between "technique and passion". Nail Horan said that her voice was "far from his wheelhouse" which didn't prompt him to turn for her. Lastly, OG coach Shelton congratulated her for being a part of the show and wished her all the success.

'The Voice' Season 23 airs every Monday at 8 pm ET on NBC.
