Jershika Maple and Paris Winningham from Team Legend landed on ‘The Voice’ Season 21 stage to battle it out during the knockouts on Monday, November 1. We all remember the chaos when Maple left the judges absolutely thrilled with her performance in the blind auditions and the battle rounds. Well, she again raised the bar after she covered the song ‘Inseparable’.

Paris Winningham, who is a professional singer-songwriter, knew his job well and he too thrilled the coaches with the help of Chris Stapleton’s iconic country song ‘Tennessee Whiskey’. Ed Sheeran, who has been roped in as the mega mentor for this season of the singing reality show, helped the two in tapping their true potential. It was Sheeran who suggested Paris to go only with a guitar in the background instead of the whole orchestra. Jershika Maple, who is a huge fan of Sheeran, too got briefed by the global pop star.

John Legend picks Jershika Maple, Blake Shelton goes for the steal

Jershika Maple was the first one to hit the stage and her performance getting praised by all the judges made it more difficult for Paris to raise the bar. However, Paris too left the coaches speechless as they both earned the standing ovation. Kelly Clarkson later joked that John Legend was “screwed” as it was extremely difficult to pick one as a winner. She added that she was really mad that she did not have a steal left to which Ariana Grande agreed.

Speaking to Paris Winningham, Blake Shelton said that he brought a different kind of personality to the song adding, “You killed it. You really did.” After much deliberation, John Legend picked Jershika Maple for the live playoffs that will be aired on November 8. Blake Shelton was the only coach who was left with the “steal” option and he did use it to save Paris from going back home. Social media users were elated with the country music legend’s decision as they claimed that he bagged the season’s winner.
