Jershika Maple picks Team Kelly over Team John

Jershika, who looked stunning in formal attire, kickstarted her performance on a high note but did not get a chair turn until the very end when Kelly and John Legend pressed their respective buzzers at the very same time. Ariana later complimented the contestant for her low tone and admitted that she was disappointed she did not turn around.

Legend labeled her performance as exciting and electric because of her high notes. Kelly, on the other hand, said that she loved Jershika’s spirit and light. Kelly, who gave it all to convince the talented singer, added that picking the right song mattered a lot on the singing reality show. In the end, Jershika went for Team Kelly as she wanted to explore the pop and R&B fusion something she described her own music as.

‘That wasn’t the best song choice for Jershika’

Social media users logged into Twitter to discuss Jershika’s performance on 'The Voice' blinds. “That wasn’t the best song choice for Jershika. And Kelley kinda eluded to that,' said one user as another posted, “Jershika has an incredible voice, I wanna see her win #TheVoice.” The next one shared, “They took way too f**king long to press they buttons. Shame on them. #TheVoice Jershika is amazing, her rendition of that song was amazing.” One user tweeted, “Jershika Maple lulling me into a mood with those low notes, great enunciation, a little nervous flutter. Such a wide range that really shines in the upper register. Great!” Whereas, another added, “Jershika, you OBVIOUSLY have the STYLE and the SKILL but this song ALMOST let you down.”
