'Camila is the WORST': 'The Voice' coach slammed for picking Orlando Mendez over Ava Lynn Thuresson as battles winner

UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: The recently aired episode 9 of 'The Voice' Season 22 left the fans fuming at new coach Camila Cabello after she decided to pick Orlando Mendez as the winner of battles round against Ava Lynn Thuresson. For the battles round, Camila roped in her buddy Charlie Puth as the battle advisor to help her with coaching her team members.

Camila picked Elton John's 'Rocketman' as the battles song for Ava and Orlando. After grueling rehearsals, the duo stepped onto the stage and gave an impeccable performance of the iconic track. By the end of their performance, the coaches- Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, and John Legend, were at a loss for words. All three coaches unanimously agreed about Ava and Orlando's battles performance being spectacular. The coaches were spoilt for choice, and couldn't decide on who should be crowned the winner. Despite the other coaches' indecisiveness, as the duo's coach, Camila was vested with the responsibility of picking a winner. Camila decided to go with Orlando aka the Cuban Cowboy as the winner, sending Ava home.

Watching Ava leave the competition, left 'The Voice' fans fuming. Aside from being mad at Camila for not saving Ava, fans were also upset with the other coaches for not stealing her. Many fans felt that Ava was in fact better than Orlando during the battles round. A fan tweeted, "Ava Lynn was so robbed. Camilla you will pay for this! #TheVoice." "Ava was so much better than him. Surprised nobody saved her. #TheVoice," wrote a fan. "Tough choice. Think Ava should have won@camila_cabello #TheVoice," commented a fan.

Another fan wondered, "Ava was very good is there a chance for a bring back?@camila_cabello #TheVoice." "I thought that was a bad song for both really.. Ava was better than Orlando..sorry @camila_cabello #TheVoice," added a fan. "Camilla is the WORRRRRST. I thought Ava was the clear winner #thevoice," declared a fan.
