Despite giving what was deemed as a 'Grammy-worthy' performance Team Legend's Jershika Maple, unfortunately, failed to impress 'The Voice' audience. The 25-year-old contestant failed to garner enough votes to secure a spot to make it to the top 5 list and compete on the 'The voice' Season 21 finale. Thankfully, Jershika was presented with one last opportunity to try her luck again to earn a spot in the top 5 list by performing for the instant save vote.

Jershika had to compete alongside other fan-favorite performers like Joshua Vacanti, Lana Scott, and Jim & Sasha Allen for the instant save vote from the audience. She gave a very heartfelt performance to Tasha Cobbs Leonard's 'Break Every Chain'. by the end of her performance Jershika was in tears, her coach John Legend was also moved and wondered how she always ended up in the bottom despite being one of the most talented contestants on the show. He urged America to do the right thing and vote for the performer that moved them the most.

Many fans agreed with John and felt that Jershika should have been placed in the bottom in the first place and have to fight for the instant save vote considering the sheer amount of talent she possesses. A fan shared, "Jershika deserved it and never should have had to fight for a spot all along. Also unfair Wendy Motem (Beautiful Voice) is a contestant on the show with her background so I hope one of the other contestants come out on top. #TheVoice." Another fan commented, "I mean, she shouldn’t have been in the bottom to START with, but YAY JERSHIKA!!! #TheVoice #VoiceResults @Jershikajmaple." "I don’t watch the voice except for tonight and bro.. jershika. Incredible. I’m so glad she was saved but like how tf did she get in that position in the first place?? She’s phenomenal #TheVoice," echoed a fan.
