LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA:'The Voice' Season 23 is off to a phenomenal start as many hopeful singers vie for a spot on one of the coach's teams. Some contestants like Savion Wright had the chance to choose their own coach as he got all of them to turn. One talented artist who took the stage in Episode 4 of Season 23 is Tiana Goss.

Does the name sound familiar? Well, this marks the second time Tiana has auditioned for 'The Voice'. Back in Season 22, the young artist failed to impress any of the coaches and no chairs turned for her. But luck was on Tiana's side this season as she finally got a spot in Niall Horan's team.

Why did only Niall turn for Tiana Goss?

Tiana auditioned for Season 23 blind auditions with the song 'Emotion', as she felt the song would display her vocal range. It was the right choice! Two lines into the song, Niall hits his button. Though Kelly Clarkson and Chance the Rapper jam along with Tiana they don't actually turn and neither does Blake Shelton. At the end of her performance, Niall admits that he couldn't wait to turn around. "When you hear someone sing that song, you hope the runs are good and you absolutely nailed every single one of them," the coach adds.

Kelly congratulated Tiana for being on the show and says, "I think your voice was absolutely magical." Niall also compliments Tiana on her song choice calling it "perfect". The 28- year old singer revealed that she was actually hoping to be on team Niall and that her sister is a big fan of the first-time coach.

Tiana Goss makes a glorious comeback on 'The Voice' Season 23

Tiana, a native of Los Angeles, California, characterizes her music as contemporary R&B with a dash of pop. Tiana first auditioned for' The Voice' back in Season 22 but failed to move past the audition round. While the judges were delighted by the contestant's talent and her performance of Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right," they did not choose her.

They did, however, urge her to return. Although Camila Cabello acknowledged feeling conflicted throughout the performance, she ultimately decided against turning. John Legend felt that there was a “stylistic mismatch” between the way she was singing and the song she had chosen. The judges had advised Tiana to choose a better song and she kept that in mind and made a stunning comeback this season.

'The Voice' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8 pm ET on NBC. But if you miss it, you can watch Season 23 on FuboTV or stream it on Peacock.
