Katie Beth was eliminated as Holly Brand advanced in 'The Voice' 2023 Battle round by singing in her 'comfort zone'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Battle rounds of 'The Voice' Season 23 seem to be spiking up the interest among the viewers. The fierce fight between the singers takes away most of the fun. However, the winning and losing game continues as Katie Beth Forakis and Holly Brand land to battle each other from Team Kelly Clarkson.

Both singers were seen donning the stage with their soulful voices, singing 'Lady Like' by Ingrid Andress. However, only being fated to move ahead in NBC's singing show, it was Holly who got chosen over Katie. Well, it seems the viewers were not much impressed by the choice and claimed the pairing to be "unfair." Keep reading to know everything.

Holly Brand steals Katie Beth's chance to advance in 'The Voice' Season 23

Holly is a country singer and indeed has a voice that matches the tone of particular songs. However, on the opposite side, Katie tried matching Holly's country voice with her efforts on the Battle round. After listening to both the singers sing, Niall Horan claimed, "Holly, I'm just always been kind of a classic country voice, that song was probably more in Holly's comfort zone." He further added, "Katie Beth, you stayed in your lane, you sing the song the way you wanted to sing with. It's easy when you got a big voice against you like that to wanna go and attack yourself and gonna lose who you are which is amazing." Chance the Rapper as well praised Holly for perfectly fitting with the voice of the country song chosen. Kelly further stepped in between to take the final decision and chose Holly after listening to all the coaches leaning towards her. 

'Unfair pairing...Katie Beth should win!'

It was pretty clear to all the viewers why Holly won the battle round, well obviously because she was a country singer. Seeing Katie give her best and still lose the competition, a fan called out 'The Voice' and the coach Kelly, "@kellyclarkson #TheVoice Unfair pairing...Katie Beth should win!" Another claimed, "@kellyclarkson #TheVoice someone should have stolen Katie." "I think Katie should still be on the voice,' tweeted another. Furthermore, a fan called out the show as well as the coach saying, "@kellyclarkson #TheVoice I think you made a mistake with Katie. There are enough of the big belters, they will outdo each other. She was different and beautiful." 

'The Voice' Season 23 airs every Monday from 8 to 9 pm ET and Tuesday from 9 to 10 pm ET only on NBC. You can also stream 'The Voice' Season 23 the next day on Peacock.
