'The Voice' 2023 Battle: Was Blake Shelton 'unfair'? Coach slammed for 'big mistake' as Grace West wins
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' 2023 stage was set on fire with back to back perfromances. Similar to the last week, this week featured an elimination after each battle and the one who lost in Grace West vs Carlos Rising battle was Carlos.
It seems that Blake Shelton prefers Grace over Carlos, which did not go down well with fans on the Internet. The NBC reality show singer Grace had an immediate advantage in Monday, April 3 battle round because she is a country singer. Carlos, on the other hand, tried to blend into the duet game with his husky voice, trying to outdo Grace's piercing notes. When Carlos was eliminated, fans scolded Blake, claiming that this was the reason why certain singers should not be on his team. The judge was berated for being a "one-sided" judge on the show. Grace West vs Carlos Rising claimed to be 'one-sided' by fans
Both Grace and Carlos sang 'I Told You So' but Grace, who is a country singer and fit the chosen song perfectly and won the battle. This sounded a bit unfair to the fans. A viewer took to Twitter to claim, "I thought the battle round between Grace and Carlos was very one-sided. As you picked a country song knowing that Grace would win." Another slammed Blake's choice, "Carlos is exactly why certain singers shouldn’t be on Blake’s team he chose a country song for his country artist and Carlos never sung it before it was clear he was going home off that song choice." A fan tweeted, "You should have sent grace through and kept carlos too. There are few singers left this year as good as those two@blake."
