Who is Grace West?

Grace hails from Detroit, Michigan and currently lives in Nashville. The aspiring singer was raised in Canton Township with her elder sister Abbey and younger brother DJ. Grace, a modern country-pop artist with a timeless twang, was just 12 years old when she picked up her grandfather's guitar and wrote her first song. She also appeared on 'Canton Idol'. Grace's vocals impressed the crowd and her performance earned her the top spot. Music had always been a vital part of Grace's life as she used to sing gospel songs in the church choir. However, Grace's music career further flourished after she did several gigs, including singing the national anthem at her elementary school to singing it for the Toledo Mud Hens and Detroit Tigers.

Grace's website suggests that her grandfather, a guitar player who loved iconic rock acts like Led Zeppelin, was an early inspiration. The musical theater productions that Grace starred in as a child were also an inspiration for her. Grace loved country music, however, as soon as she learned her first handful of guitar chords, she started playing her own country songs at local venues. Grace is a dog walker and has a publishing contract as a songwriter.
