'The Voice' 2022 Semifinals: Justin Aaron hailed 'true winner' as fans are reminded of Cam Anthony
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As the last standing artist from Team Gwen- Justin Aaron had a lot riding on him as he stepped onto the stage to deliver his semi-finals performance on 'The Voice' Season 22.
But once the 34-year-old singer began crooning to Cynthia Erivo's 'Stand Up', the coaches as well as the NBC show's fans couldn't get enough of him. While the coaches raved about his growth as an artist through the course of the competition, fans however couldn't help but find similarities between him and Season 20 winner Cam Anthony. Just like Aaron, Cam too performed the same song during his season, which received a lot of appreciation from the audience.

Many fans took to the show's YouTube clip of Aaron's performance to praise his vocals while comparing him to Cam. A fan commented, "Giving flashbacks of Cam Anthony's finale performance. Justin did justice to it like always. He's really grown throughout." "First of all, like Cam Anthony two seasons ago, this is a bold song choice and i am so down for it. second, with all the modulation, this man sang the entire song in the original key, almost in the original arrangement, too, and that's some serious range! Cynthia Erivo ain't no joke and Justin absolutely killed it!!" pointed out a fan. "He did a great job! I still think Cam’s performance of this song was the best. He is definitely a very close second," wrote a fan. "Cam Anthony has the better version. This is still good," echoed a fan.
In fact, 'The voice' fans enjoyed Aaron's performance so much that they began hailing him as the season's winner. A fan shared, "He brings church to many of his performances and I, for one, feel his passion for it. I believe! He’s the dark horse to win here." "Amen my brother. I called this a winner," declared a fan. "I hope he will bring the second win for team Gwen!!!!" expressed a fan. "I say this about a lot of people, but the true winner of this season to me is Justin Aaron. He’s a talent like no other," noted a fan. "If this child doesn’t win…," joked a fan.
