'The Midnight Club' on Netflix: Where was the horror-mystery series filmed?
If you are a fan of Flanaganverse, then you are already mesmerized by the type of location, mansions, and sceneries director Mike Flanagan chooses to shoot his series. His series or movies always have amazing and calming yet a little creepy locations and mansions. These locations are the perfect backdrop for the stories. His upcoming Netflix series titled 'The Midnight Club' is an adaptation of the Christopher Pike novel of the same name.
However, there is a surprise addition to this. While announcing the series, Flanagan, who is the creator and director of the show, teased the fans by tweeting, "I began brainstorming an adaptation of THE MIDNIGHT CLUB as a teenager, so this is a dream come true. It’s an honor to introduce a new generation of young horror fans to the world of Christopher Pike. Oh, and for you fellow Pike fans out there… the article is correct, we will be incorporating a lot of his books into the series. As we know the mansions for the 'Haunting' franchise were breathtaking. 'The Haunting of Hill House' was shot in Atlanta, Georgia. The Bisham Manor, the former name of the property located in LaGrange, served as the exterior of 'Hill House'.The house's interior settings were filmed at EUE/Screen Gem Studios in Atlanta and 'The Haunting of Bly Manor' was set in the English countryside, but the movie was shot in Vancouver, Canada. However, producers have not disclosed whether the spooky scenes were shot inside a real manor house.
However, 'The Midnight Club' was filmed in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Although the series premise reads, "A group of seven close terminally ill young adults resides in the Rotterdam Home hospice run by an enigmatic doctor. They meet at midnight every night to tell each other scary stories." It is not sure where was Rotterdam Home hospice is located in Pike's story but Rotterdam is located in the Netherlands, which is not part of the shoot location of the series.
Regardless of the confusion about the shoot location of the series, 'The Midnight Club' is one of the most anticipated series for October. It is the perfect start to set the audience's mood for this Halloween.
'The Midnight Club' will star Iman Benson, Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard, William Chris Sumpter, and Sauriyan Sapkota in titular roles. Heather Langenkamp, Zach Gilford, Matt Biedel, and Samantha Sloyan, the Flanaganverse favorites will have recurring roles in the series.
'The Midnight Club' on Netflix is set to premiere on Friday, October 7, 2022, to give you chills just in time for Halloween.
