'The Masked Singer' Season 9 Sesame Street Night: Malin Akerman is Squirrel, here are the clues

Squirrel and Jackalope were eliminated and Fairy was declared the winner

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Squirrel became the frontrunner in 'The Masked Singer' Season 9 'Sesame Street Night.' The masked singer took the stage with her soulful voice and sang 'Just The Two of Us' by Grover Washintong Jr feat Bill Withers. The winner of the last episode surprised everyone once again with her blue costume featuring big brown ears and a brown and white tail peeking out of her dress.

Despite the outlandish voice Squirrel presented on screen, she was voted out midway through the singing competition. In the last episode of 'The Masked Singer,' Squirrel revealed that she is a mother and her son is a big fan of the Count. To help the audience and judges get closer to her personality, the masked singer revealed a number of other clues in the episode 'Sesame Street Night.' Squirrel was eliminated and revealed to be Malin Akerman. Read on to find out all the clues that point to the famous singer.

Clues for Squirrel

Squirrel soothed everyone on stage with her calm and serene voice. After her beautiful performance, a clue package was thrown on stage. The video started with a gorilla stealing a plate of meatballs. Then a wedding dress was shown in the clip. Later in the clue packet, a boy named Damir came on stage. He claimed that he was accompanied by his big brother. And then came NFL player Damar Hamlin, who brought a football with Ken Jeong's face as a clue. Squirrel then told the panelists that this is not the first time she has worked with Ken. She claimed that this time he "has more lines."

Ken believed that the Squirrel mask was Kate Hiegel as seen in his first film. Panelists connected the bride reference to 'Bride Wars' and speculated that the famous singer under the mask might be Kate Hudson. However, Jenny McCarthy was sure that it was Malin Ackerman.

The first clue package for this masked singer was that she was a professional figure skater in her youth. The clue package included a gorilla costume with a Swedish meatball, suggesting that the singer might be Swedish. It was also revealed that the singer worked with Tom Cruise. Another clue was a Batman comic book with the inscription 'Hero Time.'

The final guesses for the Squirrel mask were Katherine Heigl, Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway and Malin Akerman. Well, it seems that Jenny was right, Squirrel was unmasked as Akerman. She is a Swedish actress, and the reference to the Swedish meatball was a perfect link to her personality. Akerman worked with Cruise in 'Rock of Ages' Squirrel's goal of becoming a top psychologist was a reference to the fact that Akerman studied the same thing when she worked as a model in college. Just like Squirrel, the singer and model also moved to Los Angeles to try her break in Hollywood. Akerman has worked with Ken in 'Couples Retreat.'

After Squirrel was unmasked, Jackapole and Fairy advanced in the Battle Royale round. Later, Jackapole was eliminated as Lele Pons, and Fairy was declared the winner of the episode.
