LOS ANGELES., CALIFORNIA: 'The Masked Singer' Season 9 Episode 5's Fairy dazzled crowds with her bright and colorful appearance. We decoded that the Fairy is a woman, but who is she? The voice of this new masked singer is a major clue in itself.
The upcoming episode of FOX's singing competition show 'The Masked Singer' Season 9 is titled 'Sesame Street Night'. As the name suggests, a lot of singers will be dressed as characters from the hit show that has charmed adults and children. Big Bird, Elmo, Oscar the Grouch and Cookie Monster will be on stage during the episode. Damar Hamlin will make an appearance on the episode too. Clues for Fairy
The fairy has an hourglass figure and looks like a model. She lights up the stage with her sparkling turquoise outfit. She has a humanoid face, a shade lighter than her body. She has a silver crown with giant purple wings. She is wearing a necklace, has sparkling silver nails and is holding a studded mic. Her diaphanous skirt has frills on it.
The Fairy's beautiful outfir hints the person underneath was equally stylish. The preview clip shows the Fairy singing 'You're No Good' by Linda Ronstadt. The clip hinted that the singer had a bass voice.
Is Janelle Monae under the Fairy mask?
There haven't been any clues released for the Fairy mask yet. However, this masked singer's bold attitude hinted it could be Janelle Monae. If you listen carefully to the song Fairy is singing in the preview clip and compare it to Monae's song 'I Like That' then you'll notice some similarities between both them. Both have a lot of bass in them. Another clue that it could be Monae is her appearance on 'Sesame Street.' She sang the original song 'The Power of Yet' during her guest appearance. Her presence in the episode, hence, can be justified.
Monae, 37, is a singer, rapper and actress. She has been nominated for eight Grammys and has won the Screen Actors Guild Award and a Children's and Family Emmy Awards. She was recently seen on 'Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.'
With all the possible clues, it is possible Monae could be under the Fairy costume but we will have to wait until the unmasking to confirm. We can't wait to see who is under the Fairy mask, but until then we will be looking for more clues that might confirm it's Monae.
