'The Masked Singer' Season 7 Spoilers: Are 'Three Amigos' behind Hydra mask? Here are clues

While the clues do point at the Three Amigos being the Hydra, we will have to wait until the unmasking to see whether it is indeed them or not

After earning the infamous reputation of being the worst guesser on the judging panel of 'The Masked Singer', it looks like Season 7 might be the season of redemption for Ken Jeong. The 'Community' star left everybody both shocked and surprised when he managed to correctly guess the identity of Lemur as supermodel/ entrepreneur Christie Brinkley! So will Ken continue to maintain his hot streak of right guesses with his Three Amigos guess for Hydra mask as well?

It wasn't just the enormous three-headed, scaly costume that left both the judges and fans awestruck but also the creature's performance to Train's 'Soul Sister' had everybody feeling amused and chucking. Despite being totally off-key, the Hydra's hilarious shenanigans on-stage seems to have saved this Team Bad's baddie from elimination in the first round. So, after watching the Hydra's clue package and performance, the judges began throwing in their best, wildest guess on which celebrity (or should we say celebrities) could be hiding underneath the costume. Ken and Robin Thicke were convinced that it was the Three Amigos aka Chevy Chase, Martin Short, and Steve Martin, while Jenny McCarthy gravitated towards John Goodman, Jeff Bridges, and Steve Buscemi from 'The Big Lebowski', even though she felt that she heard Martin Short's voice during Hydra's performance. We too have to agree with Ken and Robin and go with Three Amigos, keep reading to see why we think the Three Amigos might be the intimidating Hydra.

Clues for Hydra

The Hydra's clue package kicks off with the biggest clue that there isn't just one "bad boy" underneath the massive costume, this was immediately followed by a picture of a shark. We are then introduced to Triple Head Gum, which reportedly helped with their "smoky bad breath". Hydra can be seen blowing bubbles, as the camera turns to a pair of skis with Miami written on it. We then see a beach ball with a picture of a bull on it. The package also featured a magic "3" ball that contained the message, "Ask your amigos," and an ATM machine.

Are Three Amigos underneath Hydra mask?

While the clues might seem to be very random and confusing, the show's fans put on their thinking caps and carefully began analyzing each clue and finally came to the conclusion that the famous trio aka Three Amigos might be underneath the Hydra mask. The word amigos and the magic 3 ball are pretty direct clues, while the Shark and bull were more subtle references to Chevy Chase's role of Land Shark on 'Saturday Night Live', and a nod to his role on 'FunnyFarm'. Aside from the clue package, many fans claimed hearing Martin Short's vocals during Hydra's performance, just like Jenny.

A fan tweeted, "#TheMaskedSinger #Hydra is the 3 amigos. 100% positive.." Another fan wrote, "#TheMaskedSinger I’m calling Hydra, at least, two of the three amigos!!! Martin Short and Steve Martin/Chevy Chase." "Hydra is DEFINITELY Martin Short, Steve Martin and Chevy Chase. you can't tell me other wise. #TheMaskedSinger," declared a fan. "I think the Hydra is Martin Short, Steve Martin and Chevy Chase. I know their voices, especially Martin and Steves! #TheMaskedSinger," seconded a fan. "Hydra is the three amigos! Martin short cannot disguise his singing voice #TheMaskedSinger," pointed out a fan.

While the clues do point at the Three Amigos possibly being the Hydra, we will have to wait until the unmasking to see whether it is indeed them or not. The other popular guesses on the internet included Penn & Teller, the three muppets, and even John Goodman.
