There’s no doubt that Midge was one of the best comedians of her time and one of the first women who set the stage on fire. She dominated a male industry and made sure her presence was felt, but was it all worth it?
In ‘The Marvelous Mrs Maisel’ series finale, towards the end, there’s a huge time jump all the way to 2005, which showcases Midge’s life. She has a big house, an entire team of people working for her, a busy schedule, and all the comfort in the world. After all these years, in the finale, Midge might be exactly where she envisioned herself!

The series finale welcomes old Midge
It is 2005, and Midge is still hard at work. One would think that by then she would have settled down and chosen a life of comfort and luxury, but that was far from the case. Midge is seen sitting in her office, which is arguably larger than her apartment when she first started out. She has a team of managers sitting in front of her, taking notes, jotting down her schedule, and talking to her about a busy week. Midge notices that she has a Tuesday off when she isn’t working and that bothers her, so her assistant is asked to make sure that something is arranged for that day, on the work front.
Midge likes to keep herself busy, even at an age when she should be spending time with her loved ones, but that’s the kicker. In this huge house that could easily pass for a mansion or palace, Midge is all alone. Of course, she has her staff, her chefs, and the maids, but other than that, it’s just her. In fact, there’s a huge dining table, fit for a whole family, but Midge eats her meal alone in the kitchen instead. After all this success, she is all alone.
Is Midge single?
By the looks of it, the only man in Midge’s life in 2005 who cooks a nice hot meal for her, is her chef. The camera pans to a picture of Joel Maisel and Midge on their wedding day, which leaves the fans a little hope that he might be around. However, Joel is only in a picture. Clearly, Midge still has a place for him in her heart but looks like that’s all it is. It has been previously established that Midge had several lovers as she grew famous, but ‘The Marvelous Mrs Maisel’ series finale confirms that none of them really stuck around. Single and successful, that’s Miriam ‘Midge’ Maisel!
