LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Prime Video's 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' has created quite a stir in the world of TV shows. The series is in its last and final season, and with only one episode remaining in the bag. The audience will finally be able to bid farewell to the story of Mrs Maisel and her various shenanigans. The major theme of Season 5 would be the time jumps, as the show moves through time to narrate the story of every character, their past, present, and future. But the best character arcs were in Episode 8.

The episode jumped back in time to reveal how Midge and Joel met and what happened when Joel asked Midge to meet his parents. It's bound to tingle your reminiscence meter and will make you feel like the show shouldn't be ending. In one frame we see Midge meeting Joel's parents and in another, we see Midge in the present going to audition for Jack Paar's show. At times, it's quite difficult to keep up with so many things happening in the episode.

A ride back to 1953

The episode starts with Midge and Joel called to the principal's office as Midge's father was caught creating a commotion in the school while checking if his grandchildren were doing okay. Joel enters the room and takes a seat next to Midge, while Midge starts to talk about how terrifying the principal is and how she is scared of her. Joel's memories take him back in time to the year 1953, where Midge and he are walking in a textile factory. While Joel is much happier and on his toes, Midge has blonde hair and is much younger. Joel introduces Midge to the factory workers as his 'girlfriend' and then introduces her to his parents, which leads to an awkward pause as Shirley, Joel's mother, hugs her and announces, "My god the grandchildren I'm gonna have."

While Joel recollects the happy days, Midge on the other hand goes back to the time they were married and were fighting in the cab. The scene shows what emotions each character carry when it comes to their marriage.

Will Midge and Joel get back together?

While Episode 8 tugs at our heartstrings in hopes of Joel and Midge could come back together, as seen in previous episodes, Midge is going to be married several times throughout her career and Joel isn't there with her in the future. So the possibility of them ending up together is slim to none. But, all in all, 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' has done an excellent job revealing key details while keeping some best moments in stock for the last episode.

'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' is now exclusively available to watch on Prime Video.
