'The Cleaning Lady' Season 1 ends on a cliffhanger, fans say 'there better be a Season 2'

With the finale ending on a major cliffhanger fans of the FOX crime thriller took to Twitter to demand a renewal

FOX is here with the final episode of Season 1 of 'The Cleaning Lady' and it suffices to say, the show is a hit. Fans have been loving the show for its intense action sequences, gripping plot and fragile family relationships.

The synopsis for the finale reads: 'In need of a way out, Thony tries to make a deal with Garrett to save herself and help Arman; Loyalties are put to the test as families both unite and fall apart.' 'The Cleaning Lady' Episode 9: Fans thirst over Arman, say 'many looks to drool over'

The finale saw Arman (Adan Canto) come up with his own plan which saw him get exactly what he wanted while getting the better of the FBI as well as Hayak (Navid Negahban). Thony (Elodie Yung) too decided to stay in America and even secured millions of dollars via cryptocurrency with the help of Fiona. She even thinks of starting her own cleaning business with Fiona (Marthe Millan) while using it as a front for a clinic to help the helpless. But just when things appeared to be peachy in her life, Thony gets a major shock that sees her world come crashing down.

When she returns home happily with Fiona and the rest of her family, she calls out for Luca but distressingly gets no reply. In a panic, she also calls out for her husband Marco but is only met with silence. As the pieces immediately click, she breaks down desperately sobbing as she realizes that Marco (Ivan Shaw) has taken away Luca. The father who didn't like her involvement with the FBI and especially Arman, made the drastic move of selfishly stealing his son away despite him having the chance of a better life in America. The finale ended on a massive cliffhanger that had fans at the edge of their seat.

Although FOX hasn't confirmed the show for the next season, fans have made it very clear that they absolutely want more, no matter what. This is what they said after the series ended.

Another viewer said, "Not a cliffhanger! This is why we need a season 2. #TheCleaningLady", with a fan demanding, "I NEED SEASON 2 NOW!!! #TheCleaningLady #RenewTheCleaningLady".
