'The Bachelorette': Fans root for Gabby and Nate after his heartfelt proposal during group date

Gabby Windey previously chose Nate Mitchell for her first one-on-one date on 'The Bachelorette'. Now he continues to be head over heels for her as he goes down on his knees for the Group Photoshoot.

Gabby and Rachel hosted the rest of the boys who couldn't go on a group date in the biggest Bachelorette group date ever on Monday's episode, which aired on July 25. The massive group date went off without a hitch. They dressed up in bizarre costumes for a picture shoot, with some contestants dressed as young kids, cowboys, and hospital patients. Buff Jacob could only cover his private regions with a fig leaf!

The men got their first chance to propose to the women in the grand finale of the photoshoot. The boys give it their all, however, Nate, a 33-year-old electrical engineer from Chicago, Illinois, steals the show with his touching proposal.

Coming from a one-on-one date the previous week to a group setting was tough for him, but his gaze was fixed on Gabby, whom he thought looked "absolutely radiant". He adds in a confessional that he has been thinking about her and missing her since their first date which went well for both of them. He claims that as long as Gabby is having a good time, he will not be envious since he believes in his connection with her.

Nate drops down on his knees and confesses his love for Gabby, calling her "a beautiful ray of sunshine." "The second I laid eyes on you, I felt like I was meeting my best friend," he says. Gabby, too, senses their special connection and says that she felt so loved and seen by him, which has left her overwhelmed, with Rachel cheering them on from the sidelines.

Fans have been rooting for the two since their first date, but tonight's fake proposal heightened the shipping. Comparing his fake proposal to Gabby's real date with Erich, a fan tweeted, "Nate packed more feeling into one quick moment at the photoshoot than Erich did in his entire 1-on-1 @BacheloretteABC #TheBachelorette."

Nate's proposal got everyone weak, as fans wrote, "Nate’s proposal was just #TheBachelorette #bachelorette."

Seeing Gabby doubt herself throughout the episode, a fan tweeted, "Tooooo bad gabby couldn’t hear all the wonderful incredibly true statements nate was making while she was doubting her value #TheBachelorette."

When a contestant informed the boys that he turned down Gabby for Rachel, fans were quick to notice Nate's glare towards him, "A story in 3 parts aka Nate is going tell this guy off to an artistic degree in 1-2 episodes #TheBachelorette."

Nate is already in the final two for the fans as one wrote, "If Nate isn’t in the final two we riot #TheBachelorette #bachelorette."

Fans also noticed how happy Rachel seemed for her fellow bachelorette during Nate's proposal with one tweeting, "The happy look Rachel had watching Nate get his rose from Gabby. It’s Galentines every day with these two #TheBachelorette #bachelorette."
