'The Bachelorette' 2022: Fans rejoice as Gabby's first one-on-one date with single father Nate goes well

Bring on the tissues! Bachelorette Gabby Windey is moved to tears on her date with Nate, a 33-year-old electrical engineer from Chicago, in the latest episode of 'The Bachelorette.'

Nate gets our second one-on-one date of the week! Gabby invited him to come swimming with her. He’s a girl dad! Fans went to social media to support Nate Mitchell, who looked to win Windey's heart during their first one-on-one date with a heartwarming "girl dad" admission.

Fans of 'The Bachelorette' are hoping that Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey will find their true love during Season 19 of the ABC reality dating show. However, one contestant, in particular, seemed to have more tongues wagging than the rest when it comes to his relationship with Windey. Nate and Gabby discussed his relationship with his daughter on their first date.

Nate is feeling a little nervous as he prepares for his date, but he knows all he can do is being himself. He's a single father, which he intends to share with Gabby because his "amazing baby girl" is the center of who he is as a man. He sobs as he speaks about his six-year-old daughter. "I miss her a lot," he says, sobbing and wiping away tears. "I love that girl so much!"

He comes to the Bachelorette Pad and is greeted warmly by Gabby and Rachel. Rachel notices a "spark" between Gabby and Nate... He's only been there for five minutes when Gabby and Nate are seen kissing on the rooftop. After that, they board a helicopter for a picturesque tour of the coastline. From the Santa Monica Pier to the Hollywood sign, the couple continues to exchange kisses with each stunning scene as their backdrop. The second part of the date takes place in a hot tub. Gabby and Nate have a lighthearted, lovely atmosphere, and our Bachelorette appears to be quite happy. But at dinner, things are going to become serious.

"Like, a pocket of my heart just burst open the first time she said, 'Dad,'" Nate says. "I'm a girl dad 1,000 percent." Nate's gushing admiration of his little baby brings Gabby to tears, particularly since she is very much a daddy's girl. Nate's obvious love for his daughter prompted Gabby to speak up about her close relationship with her father and rocky relationship with her mother, telling her date that she needed to "relearn what it was to be loved because I didn’t really get that as a child."

But she understands that getting serious with a single dad imposes an enormous obligation on her as well. "When Nate told me that he was a father, I started to think, 'Am I there yet? Can I be a mother? Is this a life I want?'" she claims. "But I don't have to make that decision right now." In the end, Gabby listens to her heart and gives him the rose. Fans rushed to social media to express their appreciation for Nate.

Fans are already rooting for Nate and Gabby as he opens up about himself throughout his date with her: "Nate is in his 30s, he has a real job, and he’s emotionally mature. This is EXACTLY the kind of man Gabby deserves #TheBachelorette   #Bachelorette." Later when things get ugly with another fellow contestant during the episode, he was quick on his feet to protect the women in sight: "Nate getting up all by hisself. THIS is one great man #TheBachelorette." Not only this, Nate defending the women on the show when fellow contestant, Chris seemed disrespectful was something that didn't go unnoticed among the fans: "“This could be our Queen, this could be the mother of our children, this could be the woman we spend the rest of our life with” this is a Nate Stan Account #TheBachelorette."
