In the tense finale of 'Sweet Home' Season 3, Cha Hyun-su (Song Kang) and Lee Eun-hyuk (Lee Do-hyun) face a harrowing battle against monsters to rescue a girl possessed by her father's creature. As Eun-hyuk is determined to finish her off, Hyun-su tries to intervene.

Eun-hyuk’s weapon hits the girl, prompting her to command the monster to escape. Despite Hyun-su's desperate efforts to save her, she succumbs to her wounds, though a slime monster attempts to cover her injury too late.

Meanwhile, the ice monster guarding the stadium’s exit allows some survivors to flee, but Jae-jin is denied passage. In a desperate act, he fights Kim Young-hu (Kim Mu-yeol), and dies with a bomb in his mouth.

Hyun-su, battling the monster matter, is confronted by Eun-hyuk, who offers to let the monster enter his body and burn it alive. However, the monster matters and transfers back to Pyeon Sang-wook (Lee Jin-wook), who, with his soul intact, sacrifices himself again by burning himself to eliminate the threat.

In the aftermath, Lee Eun-yu (Go Min-si) returns to her old apartment, entering the final stages of monsterization. She experiences a fever dream, grieving in her brother’s arms, symbolizing her tragic transformation and the heavy cost of survival.

As the chaos subsides, Cha Hyun-Su and Eun-Hyuk prepare to part ways. Eun-Hyuk, holding onto their old family photo, reflects on a poignant memory, recalling how Hyun-su could regain his feelings through memories.

Hyun-su inquires about his sister's whereabouts, but Eun-hyuk has no answers. They go their separate ways, each carrying their burdens. Hyun-su and Chan-yeong lead the remaining survivors to a new location, where they are joyfully reunited with their families.

The team discusses relocating further, and expanding their search parameters as they embark on a new journey. On the way, they encounter more neohumans. Chan-yeong reflects in voiceover about the long acceptance of neohumans and lingering doubts, while Hyun-su acknowledges that not everyone could be saved, despite his newfound ability to revert monsters to humans.

At the finale, Hyun-su and Eun-hyuk stand atop a building, hopeful as they spot someone who seems to be Eun-yu. She appears well but walks away, leaving her fate uncertain. Eun-hyuk's voiceover poignantly states, 'We all require somewhere to wait and somewhere to come home to.'

The series ends on a bittersweet note with Hyun-su and Eun-hyuk smiling at the figure, signifying a future where neohumans and humans co-exist, while Hyun-su's power offers hope amidst the unresolved fate of Eun-yu.
